List Of Billboard 200 Number-one Albums Of 2022
This is a list of the albums ranked number one in the United States during 2022. The top-performing albums and EPs in the U.S. are ranked on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, which is published by ''Billboard'' magazine. The data is compiled by Nielsen SoundScan based on multi-metric consumption as measured in album-equivalent units, which comprise album sales, track sales, and streams on digital music platforms. Each unit equals one album sold, or 10 individual digital tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. Having topped the chart for thirteen non-consecutive weeks, Bad Bunny's ''Un Verano Sin Ti'' is the longest-reigning number-one album of 2022, and tied the ''Frozen'' soundtrack (2013) and Drake's ''Views'' (2016) for the most weeks at number one in the last 10 years. The soundtrack of Disney's 2021 animated musical film, ''Encanto'', marked the sixth time in histo ...

Musical Film
Musical film is a film genre in which songs by the characters are interwoven into the narrative, sometimes accompanied by dancing. The songs usually advance the plot or develop the film's characters, but in some cases, they serve merely as breaks in the storyline, often as elaborate "production numbers". The musical film was a natural development of the stage musical after the emergence of sound film technology. Typically, the biggest difference between film and stage musicals is the use of lavish background scenery and locations that would be impractical in a theater. Musical films characteristically contain elements reminiscent of theater; performers often treat their song and dance numbers as if a live audience were watching. In a sense, the viewer becomes the diegetic audience, as the performer looks directly into the camera and performs to it. With the advent of sound in the late 1920s, musicals gained popularity with the public and are exemplified by the films of Busby Ber ...

Reputation (album)
''Reputation'' (stylized in all lowercase) is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on November 10, 2017, by Big Machine Records, and would be her last release under the label. Swift became a subject of rampant tabloid scrutiny following the release of her fifth studio album ''1989'' (2014), with the media outlets highly publicizing her personal life and her celebrity disputes. She hence secluded herself from the press and social media, where she had maintained an active presence, and created ''Reputation'' as an effort to revamp her state of mind. Influenced by the commotion, Swift wrote ''Reputation'' under two major themes: the excessive gossip surrounding her, and finding love during tumultuous events. She recruited Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, and Shellback for the album's production. Marking a stark shift from the synth-pop style of its predecessor, ''Reputation'' is built around electropop, R&B, and trap, inspired by urban gen ...
