The Berber languages, also known as the Amazigh languages or Tamazight,, ber, label=Tuareg Tifinagh, ⵜⵎⵣⵗⵜ, ) are a branch of the Afroasiatic language family. Berbère Télévision
Berbère Télévision is a TV channel broadcasting in Tamazight language from Montreuil. Berbère Télévision was set up by BRTV Group. History Berbere Television started in January 2000 under the name BRTV (Berber Radio Television). This channel is devoted to the discovery of the Berber world and openness to the world of culture. The channel broadcasts 24 hours a day since spring 2004. The channel has co-produced the film ''The forgotten hill'' which is now its property. Télé Sahel is the national broadcaster of the West African state of Niger. Owned and operated by the government Office of Radio and Television of Niger, which also operates Radio Voix du Sahel and the TAL TV satellite station, Télé Sahel provides news and other programs in French and several local languages. Its stations transmit to all urban centers. Founded in 1964, its current Director General is Moussa Saley. Shawiya Language
Shawiya, or Shawiya Berber, also spelt Chaouïa (native form: ''Tacawit'' ), is a Zenati Berber language spoken in Algeria by the Shawiya people. The language's primary speech area is the Awras Mountains in Eastern Algeria and the surrounding areas, including parts of Western Tunisia, including Batna, Khenchela, Sétif, Oum El Bouaghi, Souk Ahras, Tébessa and the northern part of Biskra. It is closely related to the Shenwa language of Central Algeria. Language The Shawiya people call their language ''Tacawit'' (''Thashawith'') ( or ). Estimates of number of speakers range from 1.4 to 3 million speakers. The French spelling of ''Chaouïa'' is commonly seen, due to the influence of French conventions on Algeria. Tamazight TV
Tamazight TV (tifinagh:ⵜⴰⵎⴰⵣⵉⵖⵜ), also known as Amazigh TV, is a Moroccan public television TV channel, and the first exclusively Tamazight television network. It is a part of the state-owned SNRT Group along with Al Aoula, Arryadia, Athaqafia, Al Maghribia, Assadissa, Aflam TV and Laayoune TV. After initial planning in 2006, the channel was launched on 6 January 2010. The channel's objective is to promote and preserve the Amazigh culture in Morocco and in the North Africa region. Programming is in Tachelhit, Tarifit and Central Atlas Tamazight.
