Tollywood, also known as Cinema of West Bengal, is an Cinema of India, Indian film industry of Bengali language, Bengali-language motion pictures. Parambrata Chattopadhyay (born 27 June 1980) is an Indian actor and director. Parambrata started his career with Bengali television and films. He has acted as the fictional character Topshe from Feluda under Sandip Ray's direction. He made his Hindi debut in ''Kahaani'' (2012), starring with Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Sandip Ray
Sandip Ray (born 8 September 1953) is an Indian film director and music director who mainly works in Bengali cinema. He is the only child of the famous Bengali director Satyajit Ray and Bijoya Ray. Life and education Sandip Ray was born in Calcutta. Initially schooled at the South Point School and the Patha Bhavan, Kolkata, he subsequently attended the University of Calcutta. Career Ray started his professional career in film at the age of 24 as assistant director on the sets of his father's film ''Shatranj Ke Khilari'' (''The Chess Players'', 1977). Prior to this, he had aided his father in various capacities including still photographer on set. ''Bombaiyer Bombete'' ( bn, বোম্বাইয়ের বোম্বেটে) is a 2003 Indian Bengali thriller film directed by Sandip Ray and based on the story of the same name by his father Satyajit Ray. It was the third big screen adaptation of the fictional detective character Feluda after 25 years of the second Feluda movie '' Joi Baba Felunath'' (1979), which was directed by Satyajit Ray. Vidya Balan (pronounced ; born 1 January 1979) is an Indian actress. Known for pioneering a change in the portrayal of women in Hindi cinema with her roles in female-led films, she is the recipient of several awards, including a National Film Award and seven Filmfare Awards. Supriya Devi (Supriya Choudhury; 8 January 1933 – 26 January 2018) was an Indian actress who is known for her work in Bengali cinema for more than 50 years. She is best known for her portrayal of Neeta in Ritwik Ghatak's Bengali film '' Megha Dhaka Tara'' (1960). She was conferred the Filmfare Award and the BFJA Award twice. In 2011, she received the Banga-Vibhushan, the highest civilian honour in West Bengal.
