Deicide is an American death metal band formed in Tampa, Florida in 1987 by drummer/composer Steve Asheim and guitarist brothers Eric and Brian Hoffman as "Carnage", then hiring bassist/vocalist/lyricist Glen Benton and becoming "Amon". Kerry King
Kerry Ray King (born June 3, 1964) is an American musician, best known for being the co-lead guitarist and songwriter of thrash metal band Slayer. He co-founded the band with Jeff Hanneman in 1981 and remained a member for nearly four decades. Biography Early life The youngest of three children, King was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His father was an aircraft parts inspector, and his mother worked for the telephone company. Robert Conti
Robert Conti (born November 21, 1945) is an American jazz guitarist and educator. Conti was born in Philadelphia and was an autodidact, first performing locally at age fourteen and mentoring with Pat Martino. In 1966, after four years on the road touring North America, he settled in Jacksonville, Florida. In 1970, he dropped out of the music business to work in the securities field. In 1976 he began playing jazz again, and 1979, he signed to the Los Angeles–based Discovery Records label. Conti released ''Latin Love Affair'' and a Direct To Disc recording titled ''Solo Guitar'' as his debut efforts as a leader in 1979. In 1982 he left music again for the business world. In 1985 he managed to released another album, and in 1986 he headlined the Florida National Jazz Festival, with Jimmy McGriff and Nick Brignola as his sidemen. The ''KKV'' (Kerry King V), also known as the Speed V, is an electric guitar designed by Kerry King of Slayer for B.C. Rich guitars. Its shape is based on the Gibson Flying V but with sharp points. B.C. Rich offers different versions of the guitar in four categories; as a signature model from the handcrafted/custom shop division, a high-end signature version, a mid-range version with lower-end pickups, and a low-end Metal Master version without a tremolo. BC Rich Mockingbird
The B.C. Rich Mockingbird is a solid body electric guitar manufactured by B.C. Rich in 1976. There have been several variations on the Mockingbird model throughout the years. As of 2016, the current models are the Mk1, Mk3, Mk5, Mk7, Mk9 and Mk11. Origins and history The Mockingbird model was designed on a sketch by bassist Johnny "Go-Go" Kallas. According to Kallas, the "shorthorn" version of the guitar appeared in 1975. The Mockingbird was released in 1976, and was redesigned by Bernie Rico into the "longhorn" version in 1978, which is the better known version of the guitar. The September 2010 issue of '' Guitar World'' ranked the Mockingbird as "the coolest guitar of all time", ahead of guitars such as the Gibson Les Paul and Fender Stratocaster.
