2011–12 Azerbaijan Premier League
The 2011–12 Azerbaijan Premier League (known as the Unibank Premyer Liqası for sponsorship reasons) was the twentieth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. Neftchi Baku was the defending champions, having won their second Azerbaijani championship the previous season. A total of twelve teams participated in the league, the ten sides remaining of the 2010–11 season, one promoted club from the 2010–11 Azerbaijan First Division and a totally new club instead of defunct First Division champions FC Absheron. The format of the league was same as 2010–11 season. There is only one change in season's regulation as only champion of 2011–12 Azerbaijan First Division was directly promoted, while runners up of first division played play-off game with the team that finished 11th in Azerbaijan Premier League. Fábio Luís Ramim
Fábio Luís Ramim (born 10 April 1981 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a professional football midfielder, who plays for Rio Preto. Born in Brazil, he represented the Azerbaijan national team. Career Club In February 2005, Fabio signed for MKT Araz in the Azerbaijan Top League, a move that three years later, after moving to Olimpik Baku in the winter of 2006, saw him take Azerbaijani citizenship and choose to represent Azerbaijan internationally. Fabio moved to Baku in the summer of 2008 before leaving in the winter of the 2011–12 season. Elmar Bakhshiev
Elmar Bakhshiev ( az, Elmar Baxşiyev; born 3 August 1980) is an Azerbaijani football manager and former footballer. Bakhshiev played as a midfielder, and currently manages Gabala FK. Club career On 19 January 2012 Bakhshiev signed an initial one-year contract with Gabala. On 25 March 2014. Bakhshiev announced that he would be retiring at the end of the 2013–14 season.
