List Of Amalgam Comics Publications
Near the end of the ''DC vs. Marvel'' Intercompany crossover, crossover event in 1996, Amalgam Comics released a series of One-shot (comics), one-shot comic book issues combining characters from the DC Universe with characters from the Marvel Universe. The first 12 Amalgam titles were released in a single week, temporarily replacing both publishers' regular releases. Half the comics in the event were published by DC Comics and half by Marvel Comics. In 1997 the event was repeated, but without the crossover event as a background. Later, both publishers collected all of their one-shots into four Trade paperback (comics), trade paperback collections. All 24 of the one-shots occurred between ''Marvel vs. DC'' #3 and ''DC vs. Marvel'' #4, the last two issues of the crossover event. Cary Nord is a Canadian comics artist. He has worked on series such as ''Daredevil (Marvel Comics series), Daredevil'', ''X-Men'', and ''Conan (Dark Horse Comics), Conan The Barbarian''. Throughout his career Nord has worked on books including ''Superman'' for DC Comics; ''Wolverine (comic book), Wolverine'', ''Mutant X (comics), Mutant X'', ''Ghost Rider'', ''Spider-Man'', and ''Thor (Marvel Comics), Thor'' for Marvel Comics; ''X-O Manowar'' for ''Valiant Entertainment'', and ''Star Wars comics, Star Wars'' and ''Conan the Barbarian'' for Dark Horse Comics, the latter of which won him the 2004 Will Eisner Comic Industry Award for Eisner Award for Best Single Issue/One-Shot, Best Single Issue. Chuck Dixon
Charles Dixon (born April 14, 1954) is an American comic book writer, best known for his work on the Marvel Comics character the Punisher and on the DC Comics characters Batman, Nightwing, and Robin in the 1990s and early 2000s. Early life Dixon was born in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Upper Darby, reading comics of all genres. He is a graduate of Upper Darby High School (1972). Career 1980s Chuck Dixon's earliest comics work was writing ''Evangeline'' for Comico Comics in 1984 and then for First Comics. Editor Larry Hama hired him to write back-up stories for Marvel Comics' '' Savage Sword of Conan''. Writing under the name "Charles Dixon", he would eventually take over the lead feature of Conan on a semi-regular basis. Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor () is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Lex Luthor originally appeared in ''Action Comics'' #23 (cover dated: April 1940). He has since endured as the archnemesis of the superhero Superman. Lex Luthor was originally depicted as a narcissistic and egotistical mad scientist from the 1960s to the early 1980s. Since the late 1980s, he has more often been portrayed as the power-mad CEO of LexCorp.
