2021–22 Indian Super League Season
The 2021–22 Indian Super League season is the 8th season of the Indian Super League (ISL) Since its formation and 26th season of the top division of the Indian football league system. The start date and fixtures for the first 11 rounds were announced on 13 September 2021. Fixtures for final 11 rounds were announced on 21 December 2021. It is hosted behind closed doors across three venues in Goa due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Mumbai City are the defending champions and premiers, having won their first titles respectively the previous season. Changes from last season The All India Football Federation Executive Committee decided to implement the 3+1 rule in I-League and discussed implementing it in the Super League from the 2021–22 season. Western United Football Club is an Australian professional football club. Hyderabad Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Hyderabad, Telangana. The club competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. Founded on 27 August 2019, the club replaced Pune City after they were disbanded and their franchise rights were sold to Telangana businessman Vijay Madduri and former Kerala Blasters CEO Varun Tripuraneni. Liston Colaço (born 12 November 1998) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Indian Super League club Mohun Bagan SG and the India national team. Club career Born in Davorlim, Goa, Colaço is a product of Salgaocar. He was the top scorer with the club's under-19 side during the 2016–17 I-League U18 with 16 goals. Colaço also played for Salgaocar's first team during the 2016–17 Goa Professional League, becoming top scorer during that tournament with 13 goals. Bengaluru FC Reserves and Academy, also known as Bengaluru FC B, is Bengaluru FC's most senior youth team, and also acting as a reserve team. It participates in Bangalore Super Division and Reliance Foundation Development League. Bengaluru FC Academy is the youth setup of Bengaluru FC. Its teams participate in Youth League, Junior League and Sub Junior League tournaments. Hormipam Ruivah (born 25 January 2001) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters and the India national team.
