List Of 2016 Indian Premier League Personnel Changes
This is a list of all personnel changes for the 2016 Indian Premier League. Draft Following the two-year suspension of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, two new franchises Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions were established. These two franchises were allowed to draft a maximum of five players each from the Chennai and Rajasthan teams. The draft took place on 15 December 2015 and the following players were bought: Retained players Prior to the auction, teams could release players and retain those that they wanted for the next season. The salaries of the released players would be added to the salary purse of the teams which was increased to Rs. 66 crores for the 2016 edition. The salaries of the retained players was deducted from this purse. 2016 Indian Premier League
The 2016 season of the Indian Premier League, also known as IPL 9, and branded as Vivo IPL 2016 for sponsorship reasons, was the ninth season of the IPL, a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The season began on 9 April 2016, and concluded on 29 May 2016 with the playing of the finals match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The tagline was ''Fun, fans, fantastic.'' The 2016 season was the first IPL season to use LED stumps. Following the suspension of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for two years over a spot-fixing and betting scandal, the IPL allocated spots for two new franchises to take their place. Mohammed Shami
Mohammed Shami Ahmed (born 3 September 1990) is an Indian international cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team in all formats of the game as a right-arm fast bowler. He plays domestically for Bengal and in the Indian Premier League for Gujarat Titans. He is a right-arm fast bowler, who bowls the ball off the seam and using swing, including reverse swing, to move the ball both ways. He has been described as a fine bowler at the end of a limited-overs innings and as "unplayable" at times in all formats. Chris Lynn
Christopher Austin Lynn (born 10 April 1990) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who plays for Queensland in Australian domestic cricket. Lynn was born in Brisbane, Queensland, and attended St Joseph's Nudgee College and the Queensland Academy of Sport. He is known for being an explosive batsman capable of hitting big sixes. Gautam Gambhir
Gautam Gambhir (; born 14 October 1981) is an Indian politician and former cricketer, who has played all formats of the game. He is a current member of the Lok Sabha since 2019. He received the Padma Shri from the Government of India in 2019, the fourth highest civilian award in India. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are a franchise cricket team representing the city of Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. Zaheer Khan (born 8 October 1978) is an Indian former professional cricketer who played all forms of the game for the Indian national team from 2000 till 2014. He is a fast-medium left-arm bowler. Amit Mishra (born 24 November 1982) is an Indian cricketer. He is an right-arm leg-break bowler and right-handed tail-ender batsman. Jayant Yadav (born 22 January 1990) is an Indian cricketer from Delhi who plays for Haryana in domestic cricket. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed, and bowls right-arm off-break.
