Retirement Transfers The first transfer window was between 15 December and 20 January 2012 and included the following transfers. New additions The following players were either retained who played for the team last year as a replacement or a local Indian player who is selected to play for them without going into the auction. Players bought out The following players were left out by their teams who were actually bought in the auction, or bought from Indian domestic circuit or played for a particular team for 1 season as a replacement player. 2012 Indian Premier League
The 2012 Indian Premier League season, abbreviated as IPL 5 or the IPL 2012 or the DLF IPL 2012 (owing to title sponsorship reasons), was the fifth season of the Indian Premier League, initiated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007 with the first season played in 2008. The tournament began on 4 April and ended on 27 May 2012. Kolkata Knight Riders were the winning team, beating defending champions Chennai Super Kings by five wickets in the final. This season the number of teams in the league went from ten to nine with the termination of Kochi Tuskers Kerala.The tagline was ''Aisa mauka aur kaha milega? Matthew Scott Wade (born 26 December 1987) is an Australian cricketer. He has represented the Australian national team as wicket-keeper and batsman in all three forms of international cricket. Vivek Yadav (9 December 1984 – 5 May 2021) was an Indian cricketer who played for Rajasthan in first-class, List A and T20 matches. He was a primary bowler who bowled leg spin. Though he was known to be a front line bowler, he was known for scoring a knock of 287 runs in an unofficial tournament which was sponsored by the Jaipur District Cricket Association in 2013 with the remembrance of the Rajasthan cricketer, Shamsher Singh, who died due to a heart attack at the age of 40 in 2013. Sridharan Sriram (; born 21 February 1976) is an Indian cricket coach and former cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox spin bowler.
