List Of Onshore Wind Farms
This is a list of the largest onshore wind farms that are currently operational, rated by generating capacity. Also listed are onshore wind farms with notability other than size, and largest proposed projects. Largest operational onshore wind farms This is a list of the onshore wind farms that are larger than in current nameplate capacity. Many of these wind farms have been built in stages, and construction of a further stage may be continuing at some of these sites. Large proposed wind farms The following table lists some of the largest proposed onshore wind farms, by nameplate capacity. Maps of all the coordinates in this article Note that the Google map allows the display of the coordinates listed in the individual sections of the article to be turned on and off (use the expand(+) / contract(-) icons and the checkboxes to control which sections, or individual coordinate flags, are displayed). List Of Wind Farms In The United Kingdom
This is a list of some onshore wind farms (more than 1 turbine) in the UK. This information is gathered from multiple Internet sources, primarily the UK Wind Energy Database from RenewableUK (formerly BWEA) and The Wind Power's database. The name of the wind farm is the name used by the energy company when referring to the farm and is usually related to the name of the physical location, e.g. hill, moor, fell, down etc. or the name of the agricultural farm for the smaller installations on property owned by farmers. The "wind farm" part is implied and hence removed for clarity in most cases. Listings here are restricted to wind farms with 12 turbines or more; for a more comprehensive list, please see the individual country articles. List Of Wind Farms In Turkey
The most important power stations in Turkey are listed here. Turkey generates about 300 TWh of electricity per year. High Carbon Emissions Coal All operational coal-fired power stations over 50MW are listed below. Five plants were shut down at the end of 2019 to reduce air pollution, leaving total installed capacity at about 17 GW, with 1.3 GW under construction. However government may continue subsidizing some of the most polluting plants in 2020. In 2019 almost 500 million lira was paid to them. In 2017 imported hard coal generated 51 TWh and local coal (almost all lignite) 44 TWh of electricity. Hard coal is estimated to emit 1126 g CO2-eq./kWh and lignite 1062 g CO2-eq./kWh. Medium Carbon Emissions Natural Gas In 2020 about 68 TWh of electricity was generated from gas. , according to the head of the Electricity Producers’ Association, natural gas plants do not have enough money for maintenance work. Geothermal The CO2 emissions from new geothermal plants in Tur ...

List Of Wind Farms In Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka's electricity demand is currently met by nine thermal power stations, fifteen large hydroelectric power stations, and fifteen wind farms, with a smaller share from small hydro facilities and other renewables such as solar. Most hydroelectric and thermal/ fossil fuel–based power stations in the country are owned and/or operated by the government via the state-run Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), while the renewable energy sector consists mostly of privately run plants operating on a power purchase agreement with the CEB. Per CEB's 2016 generation report released in mid-2017, the country has a total combined installed generation capacity of , of which 2,115 MW (52.65%) was from thermal (900 MW/22.40% from coal and 1,215 MW/30.25% from fuel oil), 1,726 MW (42.97%) from hydroelectricity, and the remaining 176 MW (4.38%) from other renewable sources such as wind, biomass, and solar. These generation sources produced a total of of electricity ...

List Of Wind Farms In South Africa
The first large scale wind farm in South Africa became operational in 2014, and others are in planning and construction stages. Most of these are earmarked for locations along the Eastern Cape coastline. Eskom has constructed one small scale prototype windfarm at Klipheuwel in the Western Cape and another demonstrator site is near Darling with phase 1 completed. The Department of Energy (DOE) has implemented the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP). This is a tender process consisting of "Rounds" where the cheapest tariff and most competitive Economic Development score is awarded a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Eskom (the state-owned utility) as the Off-taker. The National Treasury has fully underwritten the PPAs. Round 1 and Round 2 are mostly completed, Round 3 currently under construction And Round 4 awarded. In Round 1 and 2 there where 15 wind projects were awarded with 20 year PPAs and successfully reached financial clo ...

List Of Wind Farms In Romania
As of 2013, there was an installed capacity of 2,599 megawatts (MW) of wind power in Romania, up from the 7 MW installed capacity in 2007. Until December 2010, Romania added around 440 MW to its installed wind capacity from two wind farms: Fântânele-Cogealac and the EDP Peștera. The Fântânele-Cogealac Wind Farm has been completed in 2012 and at the time was the largest in Europe.Sally Bakewell"CEZ Commissions All GE Turbines at Europe’s Largest Wind Farm"in Bloomberg, 14 December 2012 Romania has a wind-power potential of around 14,000 MW, and an energy-generating capacity of 23 terawatt-hours. The country's wind power capacity that can be assimilated by the national transport grid is between 3,000 MW and 9,000 MW, while only in the last two years the total power of the requests for connecting to it was about 22.800 MW. The Dobrogea region, which consists of Constanța and Tulcea counties, has the second-highest wind potential in Europe ...
