List Of Olympic Records In Weightlifting
This is the list of Olympic records in weightlifting. Records are maintained in each weight class for the snatch lift, clean and jerk lift, and the total for both lifts. The weight classes for men on the Olympic program were adjusted for the 2000 Games, so Olympic records only exist based on the results during and after that. Women's weightlifting made its Olympic debut at the 2000 Games in Sydney, with seven weight classes that have not changed since. Li Wenwen
Li Wenwen (, Pinyin: Lǐ Wén-Wén; born 5 March 2000) is a Chinese weightlifter, Olympic Champion, World Champion, and Asian champion competing in the women's +87 kg division. Career In 2019 she competed at the IWF World Cup in Fuzhou, winning silver medals and setting junior world records in the snatch, clean & jerk and total in the +87 kg category. Later in 2019 she competed at the 2019 Asian Weightlifting Championships in the +87 kg category. In the snatch portion she set a world record with a lift of 147 kg, and won gold medals in all lifts. She competed at the 2019 World Weightlifting Championships in the +87 kg division against teammate Meng Suping. She had a perfect 6 for 6 day and won gold medals in all lifts which included a world record clean & jerk of 186 kg which also set the total world record. The Women's 59 kg weightlifting competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place on 27 July at the Tokyo International Forum. This was the first ever 59 kg Olympic competition after the weight categories were reorganized in 2018. Kuo Hsing-chun ( zh, t=郭婞淳, p=Guō Xìngchún; Amis name: Tana; born 26 November 1993) is a Taiwanese Amis weightlifter, Olympic gold medalist, five time world champion, two time Universiade champion, Asian Games champion, and five time Asian champion, competing in the 58 kg division until 2018 and 59 kg starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories. She has set 11 senior world records in her career. Early life Kuo Hsing-chun was born in Yilan in 1993. She never knew her biological father, and was raised primarily by her grandmother, as her mother was frequently working. Hidilyn Francisco Diaz-Naranjo (; born February 20, 1991) is a Filipino World and Olympic champion weightlifter and airwoman, the first Filipino to ever win an Olympic gold medal for the Philippines. Muattar Nabieva (born 2 June 1996) is an Uzbekistani weightlifter. She is a bronze medalist at the Islamic Solidarity Games and a two-time bronze medalist at the Asian Weightlifting Championships.
