Top 100 México is a record chart which accounts for sixty percent of the albums sold in Mexico. The chart has the support of major record distributors in Mexico and is issued by the Mexican Association of Producers of Phonograms and Videograms, A.C.(Asociación Mexicana de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas) since 2005 on a weekly basis. The Top 100 México contains over 100 titles sold in the country, with separate charts that include 20 albums for popular music genres, such as norteño, banda and ranchera, Spanish, and English language albums. In 2005, the best-selling album in Mexico was the soundtrack for the TV series ''Rebelde'', recorded by the lead cast members, who eventually formed the band RBD; in the United States the album sold 416,000 copies and was named the Pop Album of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Placebo are a British rock band, formed in London in 1994 by vocalist–guitarist Brian Molko and bassist–guitarist Stefan Olsdal. Drummer Robert Schultzberg joined in late 1994, but left in 1996 shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album due to conflicts with Molko, and was replaced the same year by Steve Hewitt. Following the release of a demo, a split single, and their eponymous debut album, Placebo gained exposure in 1997 after the single " Nancy Boy" became popular in the UK, a song notorious at the time for its gender-bending content. The band stood out amongst the Britpop scene they were associated with at the time for their androgynous appearance and musical content, and lyrics which openly discussed sexuality, mental health, and drug use. Allison is a Mexican rock band from Mexico City, Mexico that formed in 2002. Nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in 2013. History The band was started Erik Canales and Manuel Avila in 2002. They had known each other in high school for reasons other than music, and had individual musical projects before founding Allison, but none of these were successful, so they decided to create Allison along with two former members of a band Erik was in. Originally said album was planned to be produced by Soundgüich, a Mexican independent label and would be distributed by Sony BMG, however, this second label decided to produce the disc on its own. ''Limón y Sal'' ("Lemon and Salt") is the title of the fourth studio album released by Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas. Recorded in Buenos Aires, Argentina, it was first released in Mexico on May 30, 2006 and in the United States on June 6, 2006.
