Bombay Brasserie (3518874566)
The Bombay Brasserie is an Indian restaurant in Kensington, London, opened in 1982. The name has also been used by a restaurant in Bradford. It was listed in the Michelin Guide 2016 as being of "excellent standard". The ''London Economic'' stated the restaurant's mission as having always been to present "the authentic food of Bombay in all its ethnic variety", commenting that after refurbishment, it met and exceeded that goal. Cultural influences include Parsi, Goan, Bengali, and Gujarati. In 2016, ''Calibre Quarterly'' called it a "leading contender for London's finest Indian restaurant". Hindoostane Coffee House
The Hindoostane Coffee House, opened at 34 George Street, London in 1810, was an Indian cuisine, Indian restaurant, and the first of its kind in the British Isles. It was founded by Sake Dean Mahomed, a former captain in the British East India Company's Bombay Army. It closed in 1812, when Mahomed became bankruptcy, bankrupt. A dhaba is a roadside restaurant in the Indian subcontinent, primarily across Pakistan and India. They are on highways, generally serve local cuisine, and also serve as truck stops. They are most commonly found next to petrol stations, and most are open 24 hours a day. Dhabas are a common feature on national and state highways. Earlier frequented only by truck drivers, today eating at a dhaba, whether urban or roadside, is a trend. Etymology The word has been alleged in folk etymology to stem from ''dabba'', m., box, lunch box, tiffin. Bikanervala is an Indian restaurant chain headquartered in Delhi, that specializes in Indian sweets, snacks. Founded 115 years ago as a sweets and namkeen shop called Lalji in Bikaner, Rajasthan. It was established in Delhi almost seven decades ago. The brand is now worth Rs 1,300 crore (US$ 178 Million). Zaika
Zaika is an Indian restaurant in Kensington, London. From 2001 to 2004 it was awarded a Michelin star, making it along with the Tamarind in London the first Indian restaurants to be awarded stars. In 2012 it was taken over and joined the same group that also owned the Tamarind restaurant. The Tamarind restaurant is an Indian restaurant in Mayfair, London, opened in 1995. It won a Michelin star in 2001, the first Indian restaurant to do so.
