Lisabi Grammar School
Lisabi Grammar School (LGS) is a coeducational public high school in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. It was founded in September 1943 as Lisabi Commercial College at Ijoko. It became a Grammar school (Lisabi Grammar School) in 1961. Currently, it is located at its permanent site in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta. History The school began functioning in 1943 and is one of the oldest schools in Ogun State. The 1940s were unique in the educational history of Abeokuta. The period marked the growth of schooling and commercial activities in the life of the city. Before the establishment of Lisabi Grammar School, there were just two secondary schools in the whole of what was then regarded as Egba Division comprising, Abeokuta, Ifo Area, Egba Owode, and Egba Odeda. Tunde Bakare
Tunde Bakare, born 11 November 1954, is a Nigerian Prophetic-Apostolic pastor. He originally studied and practiced law, eventually opening his own firm, before leaving the field to work in ministry. He was a member and legal adviser at the Deeper Life Bible Church, but later departed to join the Redeemed Christian Church of God where he became Pastor and founded the Model Parish. Following his time at Redeemed Christian Church of God, Bakare left to start the Latter Rain Assembly. In addition to his time in the church, Bakare was the running-mate of the Nigerian presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2011 Nigerian presidential election. Abeokuta Grammar School is a secondary school in the city of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. It is currently located at Idi-Aba area, of Abeokuta. Moshood Abiola Polytechnic also known as MAPOLY is a tertiary learning institution in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. The Ojere campus is in the South-Eastern part of Abeokuta, covering about 960 hectares of rolling land bounded by the Ogun River to the south. It is named after Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, who was elected President of Nigeria in 1993, but prevented from taking office.
