Lisa Osofsky
Lisa Marie Osofsky (born 18 September 1961) is an American-British lawyer who has served as Director of the UK's Serious Fraud Office (SFO) since 3 September 2018. Early life Osofsky has dual American and British nationality. She earned a bachelor's degree from Amherst College, and a juris doctor from Harvard Law School. Career Osofsky worked for the FBI as deputy general counsel. She was then managing director and European head of investigations at Exiger, whom she joined in 2003. She began her career working as a US federal prosecutor, taking on white collar crime cases including defence contractor and bank frauds, money laundering and drug related conspiracies. She spent five years as Deputy General Counsel and Ethics Officer at the FBI and was seconded to the SFO whilst a Special Attorney in the US Department of Justice’s Fraud Division. Serious Fraud Office (United Kingdom)
The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is a non-ministerial government department of the Government of the United Kingdom that investigates and prosecutes serious or complex fraud and corruption in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The SFO is accountable to the Attorney General for England and Wales, and was established by the Criminal Justice Act 1987, an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1987 grants the SFO powers to require any person (or business/bank) to provide any relevant documents (including confidential ones) and answer any relevant questions including ones about confidential matters. Geoffrey Cox (British Politician)
Sir Charles Geoffrey Cox (born 30 April 1960) is a British Conservative Party politician and barrister serving as Member of Parliament (MP) for Torridge and West Devon since the 2005 general election. Cox worked as a barrister from 1982 onwards and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2003 (which became King's Counsel upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II), two years before his election to Parliament. Sir David John Mark Green (born 1954) is a British lawyer and prosecutor, who served from 2012 until 2018 as the Director of the Serious Fraud Office. Career Career at the Bar Green was born on 8 March 1954. Educated at Christ's Hospital and then St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, Green initially joined Defence Intelligence in 1975, leaving in 1978, being called to the Bar in 1979 and practising as a barrister. David Calvert-Smith
Sir David Calvert-Smith, KC (born 6 April 1945), styled The Hon. Mr Justice Calvert-Smith, is a retired British judge. He was Director of Public Prosecutions of England and Wales from 1998 to 2003 and then a High Court judge. Educated at Eton College and King's College, Cambridge, he was called to the bar at the Middle Temple in 1969 and became a queen's counsel in 1997.
