Lisa Faye Beatty
Lisa Fay Beatty (October 15, 1964 – November 25, 2011) was best known for her involvement in the band 7 Year Bitch. She replaced the guitarist Roisin Dunne in 1997. The band later broke up the same year. She was killed in a traffic collision in November 2011. Lisa also toured with her band Mudwimin, she sound engineered for bands like The Gits, 7 Year Bitch, and Smoochknob. She is acknowledged in the thanks portion of the 2005 film The Gits as Lisa Fae Beatty (''sic''). Some list her as Lisa Faye Beatty but her own Facebook page spells her name Lisa Fay. She collaborated with numerous artists including Gossip, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, and Iggy Pop. Mentone is a census-designated place in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 7,803 at the 2000 census and 8,720 at the 2010 census. It is located at . C/Z Records was a Seattle-based punk rock record label that was established in early 1985 by Chris Hanzsek and Tina Casale. It started with the release of '' Deep Six'' which collected the earliest recordings of what later came to be known as grunge. 7 Year Bitch was an American punk rock band from Seattle, Washington. The band was active between 1990 and 1997 and released three albums over that time. The band formed at the same time as the emergence of the riot grrrl sub-genre, which is a sub-genre of punk music from the early to mid-1990s that emphasized the role of women in rock music. The Riot Grrrl movement began as a feminist response to the violence and misogyny that became more prominent in punk music in the mid-to-late 1980s, and 7 Year Bitch, an all-female punk band, emerged as part of that sub-genre. Roisin Dunne Ross (born 18 September 1965) is an Irish musician. She is best known for being the replacement guitarist of 7 Year Bitch, after their guitarist Stefanie Sargent died in June 1992. ''Not Bad for a Girl'' is a documentary on women musicians of the 90s from the indie rock music genre grunge and riot grrrl and celebrates madness, creativity, and gender play. It was written, directed, produced and shot by rock phenomenologist feminist Lisa Rose Apramian, edited, shot and co-produced by drummer Kyle C. Kyle and co-produced by Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain.
