''Liquifury'' is the fourth studio album by the heavy metal band Hurricane. It was released in 2001 on Frontiers Records. The album arrived eleven years after the band's previous release, and it can be considered a "reunion" effort from the band, although two of the original four band members are absent. Hurricane (American Band)
Hurricane is an American heavy metal band formed in 1983, originally featuring current Foreigner lead vocalist Kelly Hansen (vocals/rhythm guitar), Robert Sarzo (guitar), Tony Cavazo (bass), and Jay Schellen (drums). Cavazo and Sarzo are the younger brothers of Quiet Riot's Carlos Cavazo and Rudy Sarzo. Hurricane released four albums: ''Take What You Want'' (1985), ''Over the Edge'' (1988), ''Slave to the Thrill'' (1990), and ''Liquifury'' (2001). ''Over the Edge'' was their most successful album featuring their only charting song, "I'm on to You", which peaked at No. 33 on the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1988. Kelly Hansen
Kelly Hansen (born April 18, 1961) is an American singer, best known as the lead singer of the rock band Foreigner since 2005. Hansen started his career as an independent studio singer. He later met guitarist Robert Sarzo and bassist Tony Cavazo (brothers of Rudy Sarzo and Carlos Cavazo, respectively, of Quiet Riot fame), with whom he formed the hard-rock band Hurricane in 1984. Hurricane would achieve some moderate commercial success throughout the mid-to-late 1980s and into the 1990s. However, Hurricane's record label went bankrupt in 1991, and the band disbanded shortly thereafter. Hansen continued to make music, recording as a guest and session singer for many projects, including Slash's Snakepit, Fergie Fredriksen, Don Dokken, and Bourgeois Pigs. In 1998 Hansen joined the band Unruly Child, replacing vocalist Mark Free. Carlos Jonathan VillaLobos, Jr. (born January 28, 1975) is an American composer and multi-instrumentalist musician, who writes and produces original music for rock and pop artists, and composes modern orchestral music for trailers, television shows and films. ''Slave to the Thrill'' is the third studio album released by the American heavy metal band Hurricane. The original album cover art was photographed by John Scarpati. It featured a nude female model lying on a machine. This cover was replaced shortly after the initial pressing by an alternative cover that had the female model removed from the picture so that all that was seen is the machine. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings.
