Lipov Gaj
Lipov Gaj ( sr-cyr, Липов Гај also known as Zepter City) is a suburban settlement of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. Location Lipov Gaj is located between Novi Sad and Veternik. Although officially regarded as part of Veternik, Lipov Gaj has certain characteristics of a distinct settlement. Features Lipov Gaj is surrounded by a security fence and there is a security guard at the entrance into the settlement. It's also regarded as an elite and upper-class part of the Novi Sad, because apart from luxurious apartments, there are also many mansions and aristocratic homes. Water Polo
Water polo is a competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into the opposing team's goal. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep pool where players cannot touch the bottom. A game consists mainly of the players swimming to move about the pool, treading water (mainly using the eggbeater kick), passing the ball, and shooting at the goal. Danilo “Dača” Ikodinović ( sr-cyrl, Данило Дача Икодиновић, born 4 October 1976) is a Serbian former professional water polo player who played on the bronze medal squad at the 2000 Summer Olympics (with Yugoslavia) and the silver medal squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics (with Serbia and Montenegro). He received a Golden Badge, award for the best athlete in Serbia and Montenegro. Club career He spent the 2005/06 season playing for VK Partizan. Maja Gojković
Maja Gojković ( sr-Cyrl, Маја Гојковић; born 22 May 1963) is a Serbian politician serving as deputy prime minister of Serbia and minister of culture and information since 2020. A member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), she previously served as president of the National Assembly from 2014 to 2020. As a member of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), she served as minister without portfolio from 1998 to 1999 and deputy prime minister of Yugoslavia from 1999 to 2000. She later became the mayor of Novi Sad, an office she served from 2004 to 2008, after which she left SRS and formed the People's Party (NP) which merged into SNS in 2012. Nenad Čanak ( sr-Cyrl, Ненад Чанак, ; born 2 November 1959) is a Serbian politician. He is the co-founder and former leader of the centre-left League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina. He was the President of the Assembly of Vojvodina from 2000 to 2004, and until 2020 he was a member of the National Assembly of Serbia. Early and personal life Čanak was born in Pančevo, in the autonomous province of Vojvodina, PR Serbia, FPR Yugoslavia (now Serbia). Radojka Adžić ( sr-cyr, Радојка Аџић; born 21 May 1976), better known as Dara Bubamara ( sr-Cyrl, Дара Бубамара, lit=Dara the Ladybug), is a Serbian singer from Novi Sad. Early life Radojka Adžić was born on 21 May 1976 in Novi Sad, SFR Yugoslavia. She comes from a working class background. Adžić showed interest in music from an early age, appearing on popular children's variety shows. Dara also opened for singer Lepa Lukić at her concert in Zrenjanin. Nataša Bekvalac ( sr-cyr, Наташа Беквалац, , born 25 September 1980) is a Serbian singer from Novi Sad. She made her recording debut in 2001 and has since collectively released five studio albums. Early life Bekvalac was born on 25 September 1980 in Novi Sad, SFR Yugoslavia. She is the daughter of footballer and coach, Dragoljub Bekvalac. Bekvalac grew up as the middle child with two sisters. Veternik
Veternik ( sr-cyr, Ветерник) is a suburban settlement of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. Its population numbers 17,454 (2011 census) and most of its inhabitants are ethnic Serbs. Over the years, especially in the 1990s, it grew with size and inhabitants thus merging with Futog to the west and Novi Sad to the east. Name The settlement was named in honour of the assault of the Serbian army in the Veternik mountain area during the breach of the Macedonian front in World War I.
