"Lions in the Wild" is a song recorded by Dutch DJ and record producer Martin Garrix and British DJ and production duo Third Party (DJs), Third Party. It features the uncredited vocals of British singer Max McElligott, formerly of the group Wolf Gang. It was released on streaming services after he premiered the song at Ultra Music Festival, Ultra Music Festival 2016 on 27 May 2016. Background and composition "Lions in the Wild" features "a melodic synth-driven drop and dramatic snare-stuttered builds". Third Party (stylised Third ≡ Party) is a British progressive house DJ duo consisting of Jonnie Macaire and Harry Bass, based in Essex, London. They are best known for their single "Everyday Of My Life" and the collaboration " Lions in the Wild" with Dutch DJ Martin Garrix. Big room house or simply big room is a fusion subgenre of house music (notably progressive house and electro house) that gained popularity in the early 2010s. Stmpd Rcrds (stylised in all caps; pronounced "stamped records") is a Dutch electronic dance music record label owned by record producer Martin Garrix, who founded the label on 4 March 2016. History Martin Garrix announced the creation of Stmpd through a Dutch TV show and his YouTube miniseries, The Martin Garrix Show, following his departure from Spinnin' Records and MusicAllStars Management in 2015. Wolf Gang
Wolf Gang was a British alternative and symphonic rock band with Max McElligott as lead vocalist. Having played with different musicians, McElligott settled on a live set up in late 2009 which included Lasse Petersen (drums) previously of The Rakes, Gavin Slater (guitar) and James Wood (bass). When playing live the band also toured with a keyboard player, at one time Beau Holland. Wolf Gang's first album, '' Suego Faults'' was released in July 2011 on Atlantic Records. In February 2013, the band signed a worldwide record deal with American label Cherrytree Records, an imprint of Interscope Records, and wrote and recorded their second album the same year. Ultra Music Festival (UMF) is an annual outdoor electronic music festival that takes place during March in Miami, Florida, United States. The festival was founded in 1999 by Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes. It was first held on Miami Beach, but besides a tenure at Bicentennial Park, and briefly being held at Virginia Key in 2019, it has primarily been held at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.
