Linus Okok Okwach
Linus Okok Okwach (20 October 1952 – 12 September 2020), was a Kenyan Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Homa Bay. He was appointed as bishop of Homa Bay on 18 October 1993 and he resigned on 20 February 2002. Background and priesthood Okwach was born on 20 October 1952 in the city of Kisumu, in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kisumu, in present-day Kisumu County. He was ordained a priest on 10 December 1980. He served as a priest of the Archdiocese of Kisumu until 18 October 1993. As bishop Father Okwach was appointed Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Homa Bay on 18 October 1993. Gesù Buon Pastore Alla Montagnola
Gesù Buon Pastore alla Montagnola is a titular church in Rome. It is located in via Luigi Perna. Its parish was established by Pope Pius XI in 1937 and placed in the care of the Fathers of the Missionary Institute of the Pious Society of St Paul (known as the Paulini, not to be confused with the Paulists at Santa Susanna). The church itself was designed by Carlo Bondini and consecrated much later, on 18 March 1959 by Msgr. Luigi Traglia, and declared to be the "National church of victims of peace, of the fallen and of the victims of war". It is especially dedicated to the memory of the fallen in the Battle of Montagnola and Battle of Cecchignola, two battles against German forces in the Defence of Rome of 9–10 September 1943. Homa Bay
Homa Bay is a town (and eponymous bay) on the south shore of Winam Gulf of Lake Victoria, in western Kenya. It lies near Mount Homa (in the Luo language ''Got Marahuma'' or ''God Uma'' famous mountain" and Ruma National Park, the latter noted for Jackson's hartebeests and roan antelope (the government has also released reticulated giraffes into the park). Homa Bay was once the District Headquarters for all of South Nyanza District, Nyanza Province, but has now been divided into at least three districts. Homa Bay is now capital of Homa Bay County per the new constitution. The town of Homa Bay hosts a Municipal Council. The municipality has a population of 44,949 in 2019. Clemente Faccani
Clemente Faccani (19 October 1920 – 15 September 2011) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. Biography Faccani was born in Lugo, Italy, and was ordained a priest on 10 April 1943. He earned degrees in canon and civil law. To prepare for a diplomatic career he entered the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in 1953. He entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See in 1955 and his early assignments took him to Guatemala, Costa Rica, China, Belgium, Australia, Papua New Guinea, the United States and Kenya. Pope John Paul II appointed him titular archbishop of Serra and Apostolic Pro-Nuncio to Kenya, on 27 June 1983. He was consecrated a bishop on 3 September 1983 by Cardinal Agostino Casaroli.
