Linköpings Allmänna Simsällskap is one of the oldest Swedish swim teams, founded on 4 June 1824. It is one of the best-known Swedish swimming teams. The head coach for the swim team is Niklas Larsson. Linköpings FC
Linköpings Fotboll Club is an association football club from Linköping, Sweden. The club was established in 2003 when Kenty DFF women's football club decided to merge with the premier division ice hockey club Linköpings HC under the new name Linköpings FC. The club's goal was both to establish women's football as a sport in Linköping and eventually become one of the top four teams. History In 2004, Linköpings FC finished their first year in the women's premier division (Damallsvenskan) in sixth place. The following two seasons the club reached its goal of finishing top four in the league with a fourth-place finish in 2005 and a third-place finish in 2006. The club also won Svenska Cupen ("The Swedish Cup") for the first time in 2006, defeating Umeå IK 3–2 in the cup final. They finished sixth in 2007 which was a failure for the club. Linköpings FF (locally known as ''LFF'') was the premier men's football team in Linköping, Sweden, playing in the Swedish second division. The club is a 1984 merger of BK Derby and IF Saab. And as both these clubs had a one-season spell each in Allsvenskan during the 1970s (Derby in 1977, Saab in 1973), the new club was initially hopeful for a promotion from their Division 3 position. At this time Division 2 was split up into a Southern and a Northern league, with 14 teams each, but the third division was split up into 12 regional leagues with 12 teams each.
