Linköping University
Linköping University (, LiU) is a public research university based in Linköping, Sweden. Originally established in 1969, it was granted full university status in 1975 and is one of Sweden's largest academic institutions. The university has four campuses across three cities: Campus Valla and Campus US in Linköping, Campus Norrköping in Norrköping and Campus Lidingö in Stockholm. It is organized into four faculties: Arts and Sciences, Medicine and Health Sciences, Educational Sciences, and the Institute of Technology. In order to facilitate interdisciplinary work, there are 12 large departments combining knowledge from several disciplines and often belonging under more than one faculty. Linköping University emphasises dialogue with the surrounding business sphere and the community at large, both in terms of research and education. Humanities

Linköping University Hospital, Norra Entren
Linköping () is a city in southern Sweden, with around 105,000 inhabitants as of 2021. It is the seat of Linköping Municipality and the capital of Östergötland County. Linköping is also the episcopal see of the Diocese of Linköping (Church of Sweden) and is well known for its cathedral. Linköping is the center of an old cultural region and celebrated its 700th anniversary in 1987. Dominating the city's skyline from afar is the steeple of the cathedral, Domkyrka. Nowadays, Linköping is known for its university and its high-technology industry. Cray X-MP
The Cray X-MP was a supercomputer designed, built and sold by Cray Research. It was announced in 1982 as the "cleaned up" successor to the 1975 Cray-1, and was the world's fastest computer from 1983 to 1985 with a quad-processor system performance of 800 MFLOPS. The principal designer was Steve Chen. Description The X-MP's main improvement over the Cray-1 was that it was a shared-memory parallel vector processor, the first such computer from Cray Research. It housed up to four CPUs in a mainframe that was nearly identical in outside appearance to the Cray-1. The X-MP CPU had a faster 9.5 nanosecond clock cycle (105 MHz), compared to 12.5 ns for the Cray-1A. It was built from bipolar gate-array integrated circuits containing 16 emitter-coupled logic gates each. Valla Wood
{{Coord, 58.40300, N, 15.58986, E, display=title Valla Wood (in Swedish, ''Vallaskogen'') is a nature reserve in the municipality of Linköping, in the county of Östergötland, Sweden. It is the forested area nearest the city centre. Because the main campus of the University of Linköping lies on the other side of it, many students and workers cycle back and forth daily on the small road through it. Smaller paths and woodland trails are used by people jogging, walking (including walking their dogs), birdwatching, and orienteering. At 400 hectares, Valla Wood has been described as an oasis in the middle of the city. Valla Wood lies right beside two important neighbours: Valla Farm and Old Linköping. These three should be considered as a group. The idea is that visitors can see how the land was used in Sweden long ago and the connections between village, forest, and farm. Linköping Golf Club
Linköping Golf Club is a golf club located 3 km west of central Linköping in Östergötland County, Sweden. It has hosted the Scandinavian Enterprise Open on the European Tour. History The club was admitted to the Swedish Golf Federation in 1948 and the course was inaugurated by Prince Bertil, Duke of Halland in 1949, after construction of the first 9 holes had started in 1945. The full 18 hole course, designed by Rafael Sundblom and Douglas Brasier, was completed in 1956. Peter Fjällman and Pierre Fulke has since modernized elements of the course. Amongst the most successful players to come out of the club's youth system are Gisela Linnér, Claes Jöhncke and Krister Kinell. The club has hosted the Scandinavian Enterprise Open on the European Tour twice. In 1980 when Seve Ballesteros won ahead of Nick Faldo and Bernhard Langer, and in 1981 when Bob Byman won ahead of Sam Torrance. Science Park Mjärdevi (formerly Mjärdevi Science Park) is a city district and technology area in Östergötland in the city of Linköping. The area is located just outside Linköping University Campus Valla. The area includes about 350 companies with a total of 6,500 employees (2017). Many of these companies have been started because of the innovations at Linköping University. The companies operate primarily in technology sectors such as telecommunications, business systems, software and systems engineering, electronics, home communications and vehicle safety.
