Linking Road
Linking Road is a road which extends from Bandra to Santacruz West in the city of Mumbai, India which is the third largest shopping district in India in terms of revenue and footfalls. History Linking Road was one of the first arterial roads "linking" the far-flung suburbs of Bandra and Juhu during the 1940s. The oldest name of the road was Dadabhai Navroji Road. Linking Road and Hill Road were two of the main shopping hubs in the suburbs of Mumbai. Over the years this shopping hub has stretched beyond its original length. Santacruz or Santa Cruz (Pronunciation: aːn̪t̪akɾuːz is a neighbourhood of Mumbai. The Santacruz railway station on the Mumbai Suburban Railway, the domestic terminal (T1) of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, and one campus of the University of Mumbai, are all located in Santacruz (East). Bandra Linking Road
Bandra ( æːɳɖɾa also known as Vandre ( aːn̪d̪ɾe is an upscale coastal suburb located in Mumbai (Bombay) area of the Konkan division, Maharashtra, India. The suburb is located to the immediate north of River Mithi, which separates Bandra from Mumbai City district. Originally, Bandra was a larger area, whence the present day Khar neighbourhood was also a part of it. Almost a century ago, it was considered too large a suburb to be served by one railway station. Therefore, the Khar Road railway station was established in 1924, to give the northern part of Bandra closer access to the Western Railway line. This eventually led to Khar being considered a separate suburb. But to this day, the two adjoined suburbs make up one homogeneous zone. Khar (Marathi pronunciation: ʰaːɾ is an affluent suburb of Mumbai, north of Bandra and south of Santacruz, Mumbai.
