Line S7 (Milan Suburban Railway Service)
The line S7 ( it, Linea S7) is a commuter rail route forming part of the Milan suburban railway service ( it, Servizio ferroviario suburbano di Milano), which converges on the city of Milan, Italy. The route runs over the infrastructure of the Milan–Monza and the Monza–Molteno railways, and the section from Molteno to Lecco, opened on 20 November 1888, of the Como–Lecco railway. In the section from Molteno to Lecco it is also present another regional service train connecting Como and Lecco. Like all the other Milan suburban railway service routes, it is operated by Trenord. Route * Milano Porta Garibaldi ↔ Molteno ↔ Lecco Line S7, a radial route, heads initially in an northeasterly direction from Milan to Monza. From there, after Villasanta it turns north-west - away from the main railway to Lecco/ Bergamo - and then, after Carate, turns north-east to Lecco. The travel takes 1h39'. Brianza
Brianza (, , lmo, label=Brianzöö dialect, Briànsa) is a geographical, historical and cultural area of Italy, at the foot of the Alps, in the northwest of Lombardy, between Milan and Lake Como. Geography Brianza extends from the Canzo area, North of Monza (approximately 14 km from Milan), to the Seveso River on the West and to the Adda River on the East. The southern and western parts are mostly flat, while the northern and eastern parts are mountainous. Carate Brianza
Carate Brianza is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Monza and Brianza, Lombardy, northern Italy. The city lies at an elevation ranging from above sea level, on the Lambro river. History The history of Carate Brianza dates back to the Stone Age, as shown by a discovery made of carved rocks that are now preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Milan.
