Line 5 (Ningbo Rail Transit)
Line 5 of Ningbo Rail Transit () is a rapid transit line in Ningbo. It starts from west Yinzhou District and ends in Xingzhuang Road Station in Zhenhai District. In the future extension plan, the line will extend and become a loop. The construction of the first section started on 28 September 2016. The line uses GoA4 fully automated trains. It is in length with 22 stations. The line opened on 28 December 2021. Route Line 5 starts from Buzheng Station in western Yinzhou District as an underground line. Then it goes along Yinxian Road and passes the Fenghua River until it reaches Xiaying and turns north. Then the line goes along first Haiyan Road and then Yuanshi Road. Zhenhai District
Zhenhai is a district and former county of the sub-provincial city of Ningbo in Zhejiang Province in eastern China. It has a population of 200,000. History The town of Zhenhai grew up at the foot of Zhaobao Hill on a tongue of land at the mouth of the Yong River about north-east of central Ningbo. Under the Qing, the city walls covered a circuit of and rose to . The British captured Zhenhai on 10 October 1841 during the First Opium War, dismantling its former citadel. The Zhenhai Coastal Battery was the site of the 1885 Battle of Zhenhai during the Sino-French War. Jiangbei District () is a county-level district under the jurisdiction of Ningbo city in Zhejiang Province of the People's Republic of China. The district's total area is 209 square kilometers, which makes it the largest subdivision in the traditional urban area of Ningbo (namely Haishu, Jiangdong, and Jiangbei). Yong River
The Yong River (Chinese: , p ', Wu ') is one of the main rivers in China, located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. ''Yong'' is the name of the river, and also a short name for Ningbo, the city through which it flows. The name ''Yong'' comes from the ancient name of a mountain in the area. Yinzhou District, Ningbo
Yinzhou () is a district of the major city of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China. History In 220 BC, Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty, established three counties called Yin (), Mao () and Gouzhang (). Later they were merged into Gouzhang county during the Sui dynasty. It was renamed Mao county during the Tang dynasty. It had assumed its current name of "Yin" in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. The city of Ningbo was administrated by Yin county until after the establishment of the People's Republic of China. At the same time, Yin county became a county of Ningbo city.
