Lindenwood Lions Football
The Lindenwood Lions football team represents Lindenwood University in football. Lindenwood is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). The Lions were provisional members of the NCAA Division I FCS for the 2022 season before becoming an active member during the 2023–2024 academic year. Lindenwood was previously a member of the NAIA and played in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) from 1996 to 2010. The Lions play in Harlen C. Hunter Stadium on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, which has a seating capacity of 7,450. Jed Stugart
Jed Lance Stugart (born March 4, 1970) is an American college football coach and former player. He is currently the head football coach at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, a position he assumed after the 2016 season. Prior to that, he spent seven seasons as the head football coach at the University of Sioux Falls (2010–2016) and three years in the same position at MidAmerica Nazarene University (2006–2008). A native of Greeley, Colorado, Stugart played football as a linebacker at Azusa Pacific University. During the 1990s he pursued a country music career in Nashville, Tennessee. Performing as Jed Lance, he opened for Lonestar, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Tim McGraw. Stugart returned to Greeley in the late 1990s and volunteered as a high school football coach. The Mineral Water Bowl is an annual American NCAA Division II college football bowl game between teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and an at large opponent hosted in Excelsior Springs, Missouri at Tiger Stadium. History From 1948 to 1951, the Mineral Water Bowl was a high school bowl game to showcase the Excelsior Springs High School team against another Missouri high school squad in the school's Thanksgiving contest.
