Lincoln YWCA Building
The Lincoln YWCA Building is a historic three-story building in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was built in 1932 for the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), and designed in the Georgian Revival architecture, Georgian Revival style by architects Meginnis & Schaumberg, with an "entrance frontispiece, fluted pilasters, window lintels, inset panels, and blind balustrades;-darker brickwork simulating quoins at corners and diaperwork on side walls." The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) is a nonprofit organization with a focus on empowerment, leadership, and rights of women, young women, and girls in more than 100 countries. The World office is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland, and the nonprofit is headquartered in Washington, DC.
