Lincoln, Delaware
Lincoln (originally Lincoln City) is an unincorporated community in northern Sussex County, Delaware, United States. It is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. The planner who originally laid out the town planned for it to become the county seat. Lincoln lies on U.S. Route 113 between Ellendale and Milford. The town was never incorporated, but streets were laid out and several businesses and residences came, surrounding the current Delmarva Central Railroad line. Lincoln was formerly the headquarters of the Delaware Coast Line Railroad. Recently there has been a push to incorporate Lincoln, primarily for two reasons. First, the city of Milford is quickly growing towards Lincoln and could eventually envelop the town. Lincoln, Massachusetts
Lincoln is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The population was 7,014 according to the 2020 United States Census, including residents of Hanscom Air Force Base that live within town limits. The town, located in the MetroWest region of Boston's suburbs, has a rich colonial history and large amounts of public conservation land. History Lincoln was settled by Europeans in 1654, as a part of Concord. The majority of Lincoln was formed by splitting off a substantial piece of southeast Concord and incorporated as a separate town in 1754. Due to their "difficulties and inconveniences by reason of their distance from the places of Public Worship in their respective Towns," local inhabitants petitioned the General Court to be set apart as a separate town. Lincoln Plantation is a plantation in Oxford County, Maine, United States. It contains the village of Wilson's Mills. The population was 41 at the 2020 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the plantation has a total area of 36.8 square miles (95.4 km²), of which, 32.5 square miles (84.1 km²) of it is land and 4.4 square miles (11.3 km²) of it (11.83%) is water. The southern portion of the Aziscohos Lake reservoir is located in the plantation, along with the Aziscohos Dam on the Magalloway River that impounds the reservoir.
