Lincoln Heights (Ottawa)
Lincoln Heights (also known as Lincoln Heights - Parkway) is a neighbourhood in the Britannia area of Bay Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is defined by its community association as being bounded to the south by the north side of Regina Lane (now Starflower Lane), to the north by the Ottawa River, to the west by the east side of Croydon Avenue, and to the east by the Ottawa River Parkway (now Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway). According to the Canada 2016 Census, the population of the neighbourhood is 1,630. The greater Lincoln Heights area can be defined as extending as far west as Greenview Avenue and as far south as Carling Avenue, which overlaps with neighbouring Britannia Village. The area is notable for its proximity to the Ottawa River and Mud Lake bird sanctuary. Lincoln Fields transit station is the main transit hub in the neighbourhood, and Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre was the main commercial centre before closing in 2019. Lincoln Heights is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, California, United States. It was originally called "East Los Angeles" from 1873 to 1917. It is a densely populated, mostly Latino and Asian neighborhood. It includes many historic landmarks and was known as "the Bedroom of the Pueblo". History Yaangna Village was located on what is now the current day site of Downey Park on Albion and Avenue 17. Lincoln Heights is a village in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,286 at the 2010 census. It is a suburb of Cincinnati. History Lincoln Heights was founded in the 1920s by property developers as a suburban enclave for black homeowners working in nearby industries. It was originally an unincorporated area which had no fire, police, streetlights, nor any paved roads. At the time only some houses had electricity. Lincoln Heights is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Richland County, Ohio, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The CDP is in east-central Richland County, in the center of the east part of Madison Township. It is bordered to the west by the city of Mansfield, to the east by unincorporated Wooster Heights and to the southwest by unincorporated East Mansfield.
