Lina Nikolakopoulou
Evangelia (Lina) Nikolakopoulou (Λίνα Νικολακοπούλου) is widely recognised as one of the foremost lyricists in Greece. She was born in Methana on 30 June 1958 and studied social and political sciences at the Panteion University in Athens. This is where she met the composer Stamatis Kraounakis, with whom she has made several records. Kukloforo kai Oploforo by Alkistis Protopsalti, Mama Gernao by Tania Tsanaklidou, Meno Ektos by Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Kratai chronia afti i kolognia (1990) composed by Thanos Mikroutsikos and sung by Haris Alexiou, Di Efchon (1992) composed by Nikos Antypas and sung by Haris Alexiou and many others are only some of the records that she has participated in. Methana
Methana ( el, Μέθανα) is a town and a former municipality on the Peloponnese peninsula, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Troizinia-Methana, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 50.161 km2. Methana is situated on a volcanic (the Methana Volcano) peninsula, attached to the Peloponnese. Administratively, it belongs to the Attica region. The town (pop. 892 in 2011) is located north of the road connecting to the rest of the Peloponnese and Galatas. The highest point is (Helona Mountain). Thanos Mikroutsikos
Athanasios "Thanos" Mikroutsikos ( el, Αθανάσιος (Θάνος) Μικρούτσικος; 13 April 1947 – 28 December 2019) was a Greek composer and politician. He is considered one of the most important composers of the recent Greek musical scene. Biography Personal life He was born on 13 April 1947 in Patra. He was the older brother of Andreas Mikroutsikos, who is also a musician/composer and a television show host. His wife was children's author Maria Papagianni, whom he married in 1996. He died on 28 December 2019, after a long fight with cancer, at age 72. Music He studied piano and composition in the Philharmonic Society of Patras, in the Hellenic Conservatory, and privately with Yiannis Papaioannou. In addition, he studied Mathematics in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Dimitra Galani ( el, Δήμητρα Γαλανή) is a Greek singer and songwriter. Galani was born 1952 in Athens and began her musical career at the age of 16 providing vocals on several tracks of Dimos Moutsis and Nikos Gatsos on the album "A Smile": ( el, Ένα Χαμόγελο). She subsequently contributed to Manos Hatzidakis' 1971 album "Land of Gold" r: 'Της Γης Το Χρυσάφι' providing vocals on six of the twelve tracks included on the album. In that same year, she released her first eponymous solo album. Galani continues to collaborate with notable Greek composers and performers.
