Lin Yi-chuan
Yi-Chuan Lin ( zh, 林益全; born 11 November 1985) is a Taiwanese people, Taiwanese baseball infielder for the Uni-President Lions of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). He has previously played in the CPBL for the Fubon Guardians. He was the first position player to be named Rookie of the Year and MVP in the Chinese Professional Baseball League the same year. A first baseman, abbreviated 1B, is the player on a baseball or softball team who fields the area nearest first base, the first of four bases a baserunner must touch in succession to score a run. The first baseman is responsible for the majority of plays made at that base. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the first baseman is assigned the number 3. Also called first sacker or cornerman, the first baseman is ideally a tall player who throws left-handed and possesses good flexibility and quick reflexes. South Korean National Baseball Team
The South Korean national baseball team ( ko, 대한민국 야구 국가대표팀) is the national baseball team of South Korea. It won the Baseball World Cup in 1982, and participated in the Summer Olympic Games of 1984, 1988, 1996, and 2000. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, it won the gold medal in a final victory against Cuba. Chang Tai-shan (; Amis name Ati Masaw; born 31 October 1976 in Taitung, Taiwan), is a Taiwanese former professional baseball player. Career He originally drafted by the Wei Chuan Dragons in 1996, he has played for the Sinon Bulls and Uni-President Lions of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. A well-known slugger, Chang has been a frequent member of the Chinese Taipei national baseball team since 1998 and holds the record of hitting the most home runs in CPBL history with 289. The 2007 Baseball World Cup (BWC) was the 37th international Men's amateur baseball tournament. The tournament was sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation, which titled it the Amateur World Series from the 1938 tournament through the 1986 AWS. Yosvani Peraza Marín (Gordo) (born 2 febbraio 1979 in Pinar del Río, Cuba) is a baseball catcher in the Cuban National Series and Cuba national baseball team. Peraza played for Cuba in the 1996 World Junior Baseball Championship, hitting .429 with 20 total bases in 21 at-bats and 8 RBI. He was second in average and probably first in slugging on the Gold Medal winners. Josh Bard beat him out for All-Star catcher honors in the event.
