Lim Biow Chuan
Lim Biow Chuan ( zh, s=林谋泉, p=Lín Móuquán; born 1963) is a Singaporean politician and lawyer who served as Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore between 2016 and 2020. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing Mountbatten SMC since 2011 and previously the Mountbatten division of Marine Parade GRC between 2006 and 2011. Education Lim studied at Victoria School and Temasek Junior College before he went on to the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Law, where he completed a Bachelor of Laws. When he was in university, he was a classmate of Sylvia Lim, who later became a Member of Parliament from the opposition Workers' Party. Temasek Junior College (TJC) is a government-run junior college located in Bedok South, Singapore. It offers a six-year Integrated Programme alongside a two-year Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level curriculum. History Temasek Junior College was established in 1976 as the second government junior college in Singapore, and it took in its pioneer batch of students in 1977. Jack Neo
Jack Neo (born 24 January 1960) is a Singaporean actor, television host, comedian and film director. He was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1983 to 2003. 2006 Singapore General Election
General elections were held in Singapore on 6 May 2006. President of Singapore, President S.R. Nathan dissolved parliament on 20 April 2006 on the advice of Prime Minister of Singapore, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong three weeks before the election. The People's Action Party (PAP) won 66.6% of the overall votes and gained 82 out of 84 seats. The PAP held the office of Prime Minister for a twelfth consecutive term. The general election was held under the first-past-the-post system. On Nomination Day, the PAP gained 37 seats in divisions which were uncontested by other parties.
