Lilac Everything
''Lilac Everything'' (subtitled A Project By Emma Louise) is the third studio album by Australian recording artist Emma Louise, released on 14 September 2018. ''Lilac Everything'' was written by Emma Louise during a visit to Mexico and recorded at Bear Creek Studio in Seattle with Tobias Jesso Jr. The album marks Jesso's first time working as a producer. During the final moments of recording, Emma Louise asked Jesso to dramatically pitch all of her vocals down with Emma Louise saying "It was honestly the most relieving decision I've ever made, musically. It just felt so right. I didn't even have to think about it. It made the album swell. It expanded. I think, creatively, I was able to do whatever I wanted." Emma Louise Lobb (born 16 July 1991), who performs as Emma Louise, is an Australian indie pop singer-songwriter from Cairns. She is best known for her 2011 debut single "Jungle". Absofacto is a solo project by musician Jonathan Visger, a member of Michigan-based indie rock band Mason Proper. In 2008, Visger released his first solo efforts, ''North South, Pt. 1'', under his own name, and ''Trilobite Trash'', under the pseudonym Bug Lung Baby. In 2009, the EP ''Tagalong'' was released under the moniker Absofacto, the name Visger has used for all his solo musical projects since. In 2017, Visger (as Absofacto) signed with Atlantic Records and released his major-label debut with the EP ''Thousand Peaces''. A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. The groove usually starts near the periphery and ends near the center of the disc. At first, the discs were commonly made from shellac, with earlier records having a fine abrasive filler mixed in. Bear Creek Studio is a residential recording studio located in Woodinville, Washington, situated in a barn on a 10 acre farm. Known for its "rural farmhouse" location, a number of artists have recorded at the studio, including: Brandi Carlile, Train, The Lumineers, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, James Brown, Modest Mouse, Geoff Tate, The Tragically Hip, Eric Clapton and Lionel Richie.
