Like The Leaves
''Like the Leaves'' (Italian:''Come le foglie'') is a 1935 Italian drama film directed by Mario Camerini and starring Isa Miranda, Mimì Aylmer and Nino Besozzi. It was based on a play by Giuseppe Giacosa. The film radically altered the image of Miranda from her previous film '' Everybody's Woman'' (1934) in which she had played a glamorous film star. In this case she appeared as a modest middle-class woman. Miranda was widely praised for her performance, further enhancing her status as the leading Italian actress.Gundle p.129 Synopsis After their father is ruined financially, his middle-class children go out to work. Mario Camerini
Mario Camerini (6 February 1895 – 4 February 1981) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. The cousin of Augusto Genina, he made the most well-known films in Italy during the 1930s, most of them comedies starring Vittorio De Sica. He directed about 50 films till 1972, including Ulysses (1954 film), ''Ulysses'' with American stars Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn, one of the first Europe/U.S.A. film coproductions. He died in 1981 in Gardone Riviera, Gardone Rivera, Italy. Albinism is the congenital absence of melanin in an animal or plant resulting in white hair, feathers, scales and skin and pink or blue eyes. Individuals with the condition are referred to as albino.
