"Like a Hurricane" is a song written by Neil Young in 1975 and first released on the album ''American Stars 'n Bars'' in 1977. History There is a story that Young wrote the song in July 1975 with the help of his friend and La Honda neighbor Taylor Phelps in the back of his DeSoto Suburban, during a time when Young was unable to sing because of an operation on his vocal cords. Driven by Young's trademark fierce guitars, the song became a landmark of the 'electric side' of his concerts. The song has been played on nearly every tour Young has done since its release. It has also appeared on the compilations ''Decade'' and ''Greatest Hits'' and on the live albums ''Live Rust'', '' Weld'', ''Unplugged'' (this rendition is played almost entirely on a pump organ) and ''Way Down in the Rust Bucket''. ''Way Down in the Rust Bucket'' is a live album and concert film from Canadian-American rock musician Neil Young and his band Crazy Horse, released on February 26, 2021. It is Volume 11.5 in the Performance Series of Neil Young Archives. Recording and release The album was recorded on November 13, 1990 at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA, where the band was warming up for their upcoming ''Ragged Glory'' tour. The show consisted of three sets and an encore, featuring most of recently released ''Ragged Glory'', as well as older fan favourites and deeper cuts. Coal Porters
The Coal Porters were a British-American bluegrass band headquartered in London and led by Sid Griffin ( mandolin, autoharp, harmonica and vocals) and Neil Robert Herd (guitar and vocals). The group disbanded in July 2018. The other members were Kerenza Peacock ( fiddle, vocals), Paul Fitzgerald ( banjo, vocals) and Andrew Stafford (bass, vocals). ''Mess of Blues '' is an album by Jeff Healey. It was released in March 2008, less than two weeks after Healey's death. Four of the album's tracks were recorded live in front of audiences, two of the live tracks at the Islington Academy in London, and the other two live tracks at Jeff Healey's Roadhouse in Toronto. The other six tracks were recorded at Studio 92 in Canada by Norm Barker and Richard Uglow. The whole album features the band which normally accompanied Jeff at his club, Jeff Healey's Roadhouse. The song "Mess of Blues", which appears on the album was written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman and was originally recorded by Elvis Presley. Norman Jeffrey Healey (March 25, 1966 – March 2, 2008) was a Canadian blues, rock and jazz singer, guitarist, and songwriter who attained popularity in the 1980s and 1990s. ''Heart Still Beating'' is the second live album by Roxy Music and was released on 22 October 1990. It is credited as a recording of a concert in Fréjus, France on 27 August 1982, as part of their tour to promote the band's final studio album, ''Avalon''. The album cover photograph features model Amanda Cazalet. The Fréjus concert was filmed by Robin Nash for the BBC and released on home video in 1983 under the title ''The High Road'', with songs in a different sequence. However, the four-song EP '' The High Road'', also released in 1983, consists of audio recordings from a different night of the tour, in Glasgow, Scotland on 30 October 1982. The EP went out of print by 1990, being replaced by ''Heart Still Beating'', which edits together both concerts. ''The High Road'' is a live EP by the English rock band Roxy Music. Recorded at the Apollo in Glasgow, Scotland on 30 September 1982 during the band's ''Avalon'' tour, it features four tracks. Two of the songs are covers, including Roxy Music's no.1 hit version of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" and Neil Young's " Like A Hurricane". A Bryan Ferry solo effort "Can't Let Go" was also included, originally released on his 1978 album '' The Bride Stripped Bare'', with the remaining track being a version of "My Only Love" from '' Flesh + Blood'', with an extended instrumental section. The EP reached number 26 on the UK Album Charts. and did even better in Canada, reaching #5 in May 1983. Roxy Music
Roxy Music are an English rock music, rock band formed in 1970 by Bryan Ferry—who became the band's lead vocalist and principal songwriter—and bassist Graham Simpson (musician), Graham Simpson. The other longtime members are Phil Manzanera (guitar), Andy Mackay (saxophone and oboe), and Paul Thompson (musician), Paul Thompson (drums and percussion).
