''Light for the Ages -35th Anniversary Best～Fan's Selection-'' is a compilation album by Japanese singer/songwriter Mari Hamada, released on January 23, 2019 by Victor Entertainment. To celebrate her 35th anniversary, Hamada set up a poll online, with the 40 most popular songs selected for the three-disc album. A limited edition release of the album came with a 40-page photobook. Mari Hamada
is a Japanese heavy metal and pop rock singer. Since her debut in 1983, Hamada has been known as the "Heavy Metal Queen" of Japan. Throughout her career, she has released 25 singles and 23 studio albums. Biography Early history Mari Hamada started singing when she joined a choir at elementary school and participated in recording TV commercial jingles while in junior high. While at Musashigaoka High School, she formed a punk rock band called "Mari Band". Munetaka Higuchi
(December 24, 1958 – November 30, 2008) was a Japanese musician and record producer. He is best known as the original drummer of the heavy metal band Loudness, but first rose to prominence as a member of Lazy in the 1970s. Career From a young age, he was considered a talented drummer. During his high school years, Higuchi played in seven bands. But he was not happy with this situation, wanting to focus his time on only one band. At this point, schoolmate and future bandmate Akira Takasaki came along and they formed Lazy. Lazy was formed by very young musicians and started playing easy-listening pop-rock, that slowly progressed to more complex music. Higuchi was identified in the band by the moniker "Davy". When he and Takasaki shifted their musical interests to hard rock and heavy metal, they founded Loudness in 1981. , is a Japanese guitarist, composer and arranger under Being Inc. agency and member of the fusion band Dimension He is former member of the pop group B.B.Queens and Bluew. Biography The beginnings of his career are dated for year 1983, where he signed under music agency and was primarily active as a musician and back band member. In 1987, when Takashi was member of the band Bluew (1987-1989) as a guitarist. At the same time he became consistent member of the live tours for the singer Mari Hamada.
