Liga IV Mureș
Liga IV Mureș, commonly known as Liga IV Elite, is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Mureș County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 16 teams, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. The number of teams that are relegated from the Liga IV – Mureș will vary, depending on the number of teams relegated from the Liga III. History In 1968, along with the territorial reorganization of the country, Romanian Football Federation, FRF proposed a competitive system in which each county would have its own football championship. This new championship format would involve both the teams that would have formerly participated in the regional championship, as well as the teams that would have been designated town champions under the previous format. 1970–71 County Championship
The 1970–71 County Championship was the 29th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association promoted to Divizia C without promotion play-off. The promotion play-off was not held this season, due to the expansion of Divizia C from next season, from eight series with 16 teams to twelve series of 14 teams.
