Liga IV Argeș
Liga IV Argeș or for sponsorship reasons the Liga IV Fortuna Sports, is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Argeș County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 20 teams, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. The number of relegated team from the Liga IV – Argeș is variable and depends on the number of teams relegated from the Liga III. The 1970–71 County Championship was the 29th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association promoted to Divizia C without promotion play-off. The promotion play-off was not held this season, due to the expansion of Divizia C from next season, from eight series with 16 teams to twelve series of 14 teams. Rapid Pitești
Rapids are sections of a river where the river bed has a relatively steep gradient, causing an increase in water velocity and turbulence. Rapids are hydrological features between a ''run'' (a smoothly flowing part of a stream) and a ''cascade''. Rapids are characterized by the river becoming shallower with some rocks exposed above the flow surface. As flowing water splashes over and around the rocks, air bubbles become mixed in with it and portions of the surface acquire a white color, forming what is called "whitewater". Rapids occur where the bed material is highly resistant to the erosive power of the stream in comparison with the bed downstream of the rapids. Fotbal Club Dacia Pitești, commonly known as Dacia Pitești (), was a Romanian football club based in Pitești, Argeș County. Dacia was founded in 1953 under the name of ''Metalul Colibași'', then since 1969 bearing the name of the famous factory Automobile Dacia, owner and main sponsor of the club. The club was dissolved in 2001, as a result of a merge with AS Mioveni, merge by which Dacia was absorbed.
