Liga 2 (Indonesia)
Liga 2 (English: ''League Two'') is the second-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, organized by PSSI. Before 2017, this competition was named the Liga Indonesia Premier Division (from 1994 to 2007, it was the top-tier division in the Indonesian football league system). History The competition is usually divided into several groups because of geographic and number of participants factors. As a result of continuing conflict between PT Liga Indonesia (LI) and PT Liga Prima Indonesia Sportindo (LPIS), there were two different Liga Indonesia Premier Division being organized for 2011–12 and 2013 season, one for the Indonesia Super League and the other for Indonesian Premier League. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07. It is currently sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. The Liga 2 (Ligue 2) of Peru is the second-highest division in the Peruvian football league system. It is a professional and promotional division organized by the Peruvian Football Federation. After years of changing numbers of clubs, as of 2021 the league includes 12 clubs. History The format of the Second Division has changed over the years.
