Lifehouse International Church is an international Pentecostal church with locations across Japan & other parts of Asia. It is an Australian Christian Churches church and partner with the ARC Network of Churches. History The church was founded in 2002 by Rod Plummer and his wife Viv in Tokyo, Japan, with a team of 16 people. The church was originally named Jesus Lifehouse simplified to Lifehouse as they started to plant Churches in other countries. Lifehouse Tokyo has seen consistent growth every year growing from the initial team of 16 people to over 2,500 in 2020. CRC Churches International
CRC Churches International, formerly known as the Christian Revival Crusade, is a Pentecostal Protestant Christian denomination founded in New Zealand and Australia by Leo Harris in Adelaide, South Australia, with assistance from Thomas Foster in Melbourne, Victoria. History Converted under the itinerant ministry of South African, Frederick Van Eyck, Harris' father became an Apostolic Church pastor before they both assumed ministry within the Assemblies of God. Harris was influenced by the British-Israel views of Thomas Foster, whose identification of Anglo-Saxon nations with the ten lost tribes of Israel prompted him to adopt a historicist eschatology. With the subsequent cancellation of his ministry credential and the increasing post-war popularity of his pro-British views throughout parts of Australia and New Zealand, the National Revival Crusade was launched organisationally in Adelaide in 1945 and was active in Melbourne as well. Lifehouse is an American rock music, rock band from Los Angeles comprising Jason Wade (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano), Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion), Bryce Soderberg (bass, vocals), and Steve Stout (lead guitar). The band came to mainstream prominence in 2001 with the hit single "Hanging by a Moment" from their debut studio album ''No Name Face''. The song was number one for three weeks on the ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. The single won a ''Billboard'' Music Award for Billboard Year-End Hot 100 singles of 2001, Hot 100 Single of the Year, having spent 20 weeks in the top ten and more than a year on the charts. ''Lifehouse'' is the third studio album by pop rock band Lifehouse. It was released in 2005 on Geffen Records. It debuted at #10 on the ''Billboard'' 200, selling 63,000 copies in its first week of release and was certified Gold by the RIAA on September 7, 2005. ''Lifehouse'' has sold 960,000 units in the US as of November 2009, and over three million worldwide to date. Background The album saw a shift in Lifehouse's sound. It notably featured less of the angst-ridden post-grunge sound of their previous two albums, and marked their first album to adopt the lighter, more radio-friendly adult pop rock sound prevalent in their subsequent albums. Tracks such as "We'll Never Know" feature more post-grunge flair, while the albums two lead singles " You and Me" and " Blind" lean towards pop rock. ''Lifehouse'' is an unfinished science fiction rock opera by The Who intended as a follow-up to ''Tommy''. It was abandoned as a rock opera in favour of creating the traditional rock album ''Who's Next'', though its songs would appear on various albums and singles by the Who, as well as Pete Townshend solo albums. In 1978, aspects of the Lifehouse project were revisited by the Who on ''Who Are You''. In 2000, Townshend revived the Lifehouse concept with his set ''Lifehouse Chronicles'' and the sampler ''Lifehouse Elements''. On 1 May 2007, he released an online software called '' The Lifehouse Method'' in which any "sitter" could create a musical "portrait". The site is now defunct.
