Lidija Manić
Lidija Vera Manić is a Serbian model and beauty queen who became the first woman from Serbia to win a major international title after being crowned Miss International 1975 in Motobu, Japan. Miss International She was succeeded by French delegate Sophie Perin as Miss International in 1976. Incidentally, Perin and Manić were delegates of their respective countries in the 1975 Miss Universe pageant held in San Salvador, El Salvador. Miss International 1975, the 15th Miss International pageant, was held on November 3, 1975, at the Okinawa's Expo Portside Theater in Motobu, Japan. 48 contestants competed for the pageant. Karen Brucene Smith-Galvan (née Smith; born June 21, 1951) is an American model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World USA 1971 and Miss International 1974. Early life Galvan was born and raised in Port Lavaca, Texas with parents David Bruce Smith and Belle Dunlap-Smith; and grandmother Adela Dunlap. She grew up with four sisters: Cynthia, Darlene, Carrie, Suzanne; and one brother, Robert Bruce. Her father, David Bruce, named her after him, ''Brucene''. Anne Marie Pohtamo
Anne Marie Pohtamo (born 15 August 1955) is a Finnish actress, model and beauty queen who was the second woman from Finland to capture the Miss Universe crown. She claimed the Miss Universe crown in 1975 at the pageant held in El Salvador. Pohtamo was crowned by Miss Universe 1972 Kerry Anne Wells, not by her predecessor Amparo Muñoz, as Muñoz resigned after six months reign, when she refused a trip to Japan. From the very beginning, she was a big favorite during the pageant. After the reigning year as Miss Universe, Pohtamo worked as a fashion model at Wilhelmina Model Agency in New York for 5 years. However, in the midst of her rising career, she returned to Finland in 1981 and worked in fashion and beauty business for decades. She got religion in 1992 and has been an evangelist and lecturer ever since. Wilnelia, Lady Forsyth-Johnson (''née'' Merced; born 12 October 1957) is a Puerto Rican former actress, model and beauty queen. She won Miss World 1975, and was married to entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth from 1983 until his death in August 2017. Career Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, she won Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 1975 and went on to win Miss World 1975 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Miss Universe 1975
Miss Universe 1975, the 24th Miss Universe pageant, was held on 19 July 1975 at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda, National Gymnasium in San Salvador, El Salvador. Anne Marie Pohtamo won the title for Finland, thus making her the second Finnish woman to win the Miss Universe crown after Armi Kuusela, who was the first Miss Universe winner, in 1952. After Spain's Amparo Muñoz resigned the previous year, her successor was crowned by Miss Universe 1972, Kerry Anne Wells of Australia. The political backdrop to the 1975 Miss Universe pageant was not a happy one, however.
