Liberty Baseball Stadium
Liberty Baseball Stadium is a baseball venue in Lynchburg, Virginia. It is the home field of the Liberty Flames baseball team, a member of the NCAA Division I ASUN Conference. Liberty will join Conference USA in July 2023. The stadium opened in February 2013 and has a capacity of 2,500 spectators. It hosted the 2013 Big South Tournament. History In August 2011, Liberty University announced plans for a new baseball venue, which would be built next to Williams Stadium, the school's football venue. The venue was planned to replace Al Worthington Stadium, the Liberty baseball program's home field since the 1979 season. The press box is a special section of a sports stadium or arena that is set up for the media to report about a given event. It is typically located in the section of the stadium holding the luxury box and can be either enclosed or open to the elements. The William & Mary Tribe baseball team represents the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in NCAA Division I competition. The school's team, founded in 1895, currently competes in the Colonial Athletic Association and play their home games at the off-campus Plumeri Park. Al Worthington Stadium was a baseball venue on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, United States. It was home to the Liberty Flames of the Division I Big South Conference. Opened in 1979, the facility was named for former Liberty baseball coach and athletic director Al Worthington. It had a capacity of 2,500 spectators. Plans for a new Liberty baseball venue were announced in August 2011, and Liberty Baseball Stadium opened prior to the 2013 season. Worthington Stadium was demolished in 2013. Williams Stadium
Arthur L. Williams Stadium is a 25,000-seat football stadium located on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, USA. The stadium was built in 1989 and plays host to Liberty Flames football, which is a part of the NCAA Division I - Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). A new field house has recently been constructed at the north end of the stadium. This new facility houses a new home locker room, coaches offices, meeting rooms and training facility as well as a weight room. In the 2009 off season, Liberty University added a video scoreboard on the north end of the field. The video scoreboard measured tall and wide.
