Libertad Station
Libertad station (also known as Antonio Arnaiz station or simply Arnaiz station) is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located in Pasay at the corner of Taft Avenue and Arnaiz Avenue. The station is named after the former Libertad (Spanish for "''liberty''") Street, which is a junction of both Roxas Boulevard and Taft Avenue in Pasay. The name ''Libertad'' survives as an area name, nowadays, after Libertad Street became a part of Antonio Arnaiz Avenue. Libertad station is the third station for trains headed to Roosevelt, the eighteenth station for trains headed to Baclaran, and is one of the four stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, EDSA, and Baclaran. Taft Avenue
Taft Avenue ( fil, Abenida Taft; es, Avenida Taft) is a major road in the south of Metro Manila. It passes through three cities in the metropolis: Manila, Pasay and Parañaque. The road was named after the former Governor-General of the Philippines and U.S. President, William Howard Taft; the Philippines was a former commonwealth territory of the United States in the first half of the 20th century. The avenue is a component of National Route 170 (N170), a secondary road in the Philippine highway network, and anchors R-2 of the Manila arterial road network. Roxas Boulevard
Roxas Boulevard is a popular waterfront promenade in Metro Manila in the Philippines. The boulevard, which runs along the shores of Manila Bay, is well known for its sunsets and stretch of coconut trees. The divided roadway has become a trademark of Philippine tourism, famed for its yacht club, hotels, restaurants, commercial buildings and parks. The boulevard was completed in the 1910s. Harrison Plaza
Harrison Plaza (HP) was a shopping mall situated along Harrison Avenue corner Pablo Ocampo Street in the district of Malate in Manila, Philippines. Opened in 1976 and closed in 2019, it was the first modern and major shopping mall located in the area. The shopping mall building has been demolished to give way for a redevelopment of the site into residential building complex with a shopping center by SM Prime Holdings. History First opening The property was built in a former cemetery, which was destroyed during World War II, and cleared of graves afterwards. EDSA station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located on the intersection of Taft Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, or EDSA, one of Metro Manila's major thoroughfares. Gil Puyat station (sometimes called Buendia station) is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located in Pasay and is named because the station lies immediately above Gil Puyat Avenue. The avenue itself is named after Gil Puyat, a former senator and statesman. Baclaran Station
Baclaran station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. Located on the last stretches of Taft Avenue in Pasay right at the border with Baclaran, Parañaque, it is the current southern terminus of the line. The terminal is named after the famous shopping district of the same name, which is located on the borders of the cities of Pasay and Parañaque. Baclaran is one of the four Line 1 stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, Libertad, and EDSA. Roosevelt Station (Line 1)
Roosevelt station ( ; ) is the current northern terminus of Line 1 of the Manila Light Rail Transit System and was constructed as part of the Line 1 North Extension Project. It opened on October 22, 2010. Roosevelt is one of the two Line 1 stations serving Quezon City, the other being Balintawak. It is located in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay (Bago Bantay), Quezon City and its neighbors, Project 7 (Veterans Village and Bungad) and Project 8 (Bahay Toro, Sangandaan, Baesa). It links to Congressional Avenue and Fernando Poe Jr. Avenue. Arnaiz Avenue
Avenida Antonio Arnáiz Somoza, or simply Avenida Arnáiz, formerly known as ''Calle Libertad'' and then ''Calzada de Pásay'', is a major east–west collector road that links Makati and Pasay in the Philippines. It stretches across western Metro Manila from Roxas Boulevard in Pasay to Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Makati. The Osmeña Highway splits Arnaiz Avenue into two sections.
