''Liberamente'' (which literally means "freely", but is also a play on words meaning "free mind") is a liberal-centrist foundation and think-tank within Forza Italia (FI), a political party in Italy. Its main leader is Mariastella Gelmini and, previously, Franco Frattini. Founded on 20 June 2010, the faction was one of the strongest within The People of Freedom as its members included eight ministers (Mariastella Gelmini, Franco Frattini, Maurizio Sacconi, Stefania Prestigiacomo, Mara Carfagna, Raffaele Fitto, Paolo Romani and Giancarlo Galan), plus Mario Valducci (leader of the Clubs of Freedom), Luigi Casero, Giorgio Stracquadanio, Giampiero Cantoni, Valentina Aprea, Giancarlo Serafini, Romano Comincioli, Lara Comi, Guido Podestà and Licia Ronzulli. The People Of Freedom
The People of Freedom ( it, Il Popolo della Libertà, PdL) was a centre-right political party in Italy. The PdL, launched by Silvio Berlusconi on 18 November 2007, was initially a federation of political parties, notably including Forza Italia and National Alliance, which participated as a joint election list in the 2008 general election. The federation was later transformed into a party during a party congress on 27–29 March 2009. Future and Freedom ( it, Futuro e Libertà), whose full name was Future and Freedom for Italy (''Futuro e Libertà per l'Italia'', abbreviated to FLI), was a political party in Italy, comprising both liberal and national conservative elements. FLI was formed by followers of Gianfranco Fini in July 2010 as a split from The People of Freedom (PdL), the major Italian centre-right party of the time, led by Silvio Berlusconi. Generation Italy (''Generazione Italia'', GI) or ''Finiani'' was an association connected to Future and Freedom (FLI), a political party in Italy, and earlier to The People of Freedom (PdL). Although most of its members came from the conservative National Alliance (AN) and were earlier members of the Italian Social Movement (MSI), GI was a social liberal wing within the PdL. The faction's members identified themselves as close supporters of Gianfranco Fini, former leader of MSI/AN and frequent critic of Silvio Berlusconi from his post of President of the Chamber of Deputies. The Italian Socialist Party (, PSI) was a socialist and later social-democratic political party in Italy, whose history stretched for longer than a century, making it one of the longest-living parties of the country. Founded in Genoa in 1892, the PSI dominated the Italian left until after World War II, when it was eclipsed in status by the Italian Communist Party. Licia Ronzulli (born 14 September 1975 in Milan) is an Italian politician and a former MEP who represented The People of Freedom party and New Forza Italia party in the years 2009-14.
