Libby Connors
Elizabeth Louise Alice Connors (born 8 August 1960) is Associate Professor of History at the University of Southern Queensland. In 1992, Connors co-wrote Australia's frontline : remembering the 1939-45 war with Lynette Finch, Kay Saunders and Helen Taylor. In 1999, Connors published ''A history of the Australian environment movement'' with co-author Drew Hutton. In 2015 Connors received the Queensland Premier's Award for a work of State Significance for ''Warrior: A Legendary Leader's Dramatic Life and Violent Death on the Colonial Frontier''. Kay Saunders
Kay Elizabeth Bass Saunders (born 1947) is an Australian historian and Emeritus Professor at the University of Queensland. Earlyl life and education Saunders was born in Brisbane, Queensland in 1947. She graduated with a BA (1970) and PhD (1975) from the University of Queensland (UQ). Career She was employed by UQ throughout her academic career, firstly as tutor, then progressing through the ranks to Professor of History (2002–2005). Drew Hutton
Peter Drew Hutton (born 1947) is an Australian activist, academic, campaigner and past political candidate. Hutton co-founded the Queensland Greens (in 1990) and Australian Greens (in 1991) and ran in elections in Queensland and Australia at all three levels of government. Social activist Hutton has been a social activist all his adult life. Dundalli
Dundalli (c. 1820 – 5 January 1855) was an Aboriginal lawman who figured prominently in accounts of conflict between European settlers and indigenous aboriginal peoples in the area of Brisbane in South East Queensland. Traditionally described as a murderer, savage and terrorist, he is now thought variously to have been a guerilla leader or to have coordinated a decade-long resistance to white colonization the area. He was hanged publicly in Brisbane in 1855 by order of the Sheriff of New South Wales. Early life Dundalli was born into the Dalla tribes, probably as a son of the Dalambara clan. Together with his brother Oumulli, he grew up in the Blackall Range. The area had a rich regional economy, with fertile ranges spread out over areas of spectacular scenery, with waterfalls plunging into deep gorges. Petrie Terrace Police Depot is a heritage-listed former police barracks at 25-61 Petrie Terrace, Petrie Terrace, Queensland, Petrie Terrace, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1850s to 1960s. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 23 July 1999. The site was vacated by the police in the mid-1980s and sold in 1987.
