Dcraw
dcraw is an open-source computer program which is able to read numerous raw image format files, typically produced by mid-range and high-end digital cameras. dcraw converts these images into the standard TIFF and PPM image formats. This conversion is sometimes referred to as ''developing'' a raw image (by analogy with the process of film development) since it renders raw image sensor data (a "digital negative") into a viewable form. A number of other image processing programs use dcraw internally to enable them to read raw files. Development of dcraw began on February 23, 1997. Version 1.0 was released in revision 1.18, on May 5, 2000. Versions up to 3.15 used the name ''Canon PowerShot Converter'', starting with v3.40 the name was ''Raw Photo Decoder'', switching to ''Raw Photo Decoder "dcraw"'' in v5.70. Version 8.86 supported 300 cameras. The development has stalled, with only two releases since May 2015 and the last release dated June 2018, but parts of dcraw are incl ...

Camera Image File Format
In digital photography, the Camera Image File Format (CIFF) file format is a raw image format designed by Canon, and also used as a container format to store metadata in APP0 of JPEG images. Its specification was released on February 12, 1997. The CIFF standard consists of two parts, CIFF Specification on Image Data File (last revision: version 1.0 revision 4, dated 24 December 1997) and CIFF Specification on File/Directory organization and File Handling Protocol (last revision: version 1.0 revision 3, dated 9 February 1998). The format was developed and maintained by Canon with input from the CIFF Forum. The format is no longer used by Canon, having been superseded by the CR2 file format. Digital cameras The CRW format was supported by some earlier Canon digital cameras: * Canon EOS D30 * Canon EOS D60 * Canon EOS 10D * Canon EOS 300D * Canon Powershot Pro1 * Canon Powershots G1-G6 * Canon Powershots S30-S70 Software that supports CRW Besides Canon's ZoomBrowser and Digital Ph ...

Digital Negative
Digital Negative (DNG) is a patented, open, lossless raw image format developed by Adobe and used for digital photography. Adobe's license allows use without cost on the condition that the licensee prominently displays text saying it is licensed from Adobe in source and documentation, and that the license may be revoked if the licensee brings any patent action against Adobe or its affiliates related to the reading or writing of files that comply with the DNG Specification. It was launched on September 27, 2004. The launch was accompanied by the first version of the DNG specification,. plus various products, including a free-of-charge DNG converter utility. All Adobe photo manipulation software (such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom) released since the launch supports DNG.. DNG is based on the TIFF/EP standard format, and mandates significant use of metadata. Use of the file format is royalty-free; Adobe has published a license allowing anyone to exploit DNG,. and has a ...

OpenImageIO
OpenImageIO is an open source library for reading and writing images. Support for different image formats is realised through plugins. The project is distributed with a modified BSD license. History Project ''OpenImageIO'' started as ''ImageIO'' - an API that was part of Gelato, the renderer software developed by nVidia. Work on ''ImageIO'' started in 2002. In the same year the specification of the API and its header files was released under BSD license. In 2007, when the project Gelato was stopped, the development of ''ImageIO'' also ceased. After this Larry Gritz started a new project - ''OpenImageIO''. In April 2009 ''OpenImageIO'' was accepted into the Google Summer of Code program with four student slots. September 2009 marked the release of ''Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs'', the first full-length feature film in whose production ''OpenImageIO'', alongside '' OpenShadingLanguage'', has been used as the texturing engine. Applications OpenImageIO library comes with ...

Raw Image Format
A camera raw image file contains unprocessed or minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera, a motion picture film scanner, or other image scanner. Raw files are named so because they are not yet processed and therefore are not ready to be Photographic printing, printed, viewed or edited with a bitmap graphics editor. Normally, the image is processed by a raw converter in a wide-gamut internal color space where precise adjustments can be made before file format conversion, conversion to a viewable file format such as JPEG or PNG for storage, printing, or further manipulation. There are dozens of raw formats in use by different manufacturers of digital image capture equipment. Rationale Raw image files are sometimes incorrectly described as "digital Negative (photography), negatives", but neither are they negatives nor do the unprocessed files constitute visible images. Rather, the Raw datasets are more like Exposure (photography), exposed but Lat ...

DevIL
A devil is the personification of evil as it is conceived in various cultures and religious traditions. It is seen as the objectification of a hostile and destructive force. Jeffrey Burton Russell states that the different conceptions of the devil can be summed up as 1) a principle of evil independent from God, 2) an aspect of God, 3) a created being turning evil (a ''fallen angel''), and 4) a symbol of human evil. Each tradition, culture, and religion with a devil in its mythos offers a different lens on manifestations of evil.Jeffrey Burton Russell, ''The Devil: Perceptions of Evil from Antiquity to Primitive Christianity'', Cornell University Press 1987 , pp. 41–75 The history of these perspectives intertwines with theology, mythology, psychiatry, art, and literature developing independently within each of the traditions. It occurs historically in many contexts and cultures, and is given many different names— Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Mephistopheles, Iblis—and at ...
