''Liars'' is the fourth studio album by the band Liars, released on August 28, 2007. The album was recorded at Planet Roc, Los Angeles and was produced by the band and Jeremy Glover. The album was preceded by a week by the single release of "Plaster Casts of Everything". The single release of Plaster Casts was accompanied by a videoclip. The song "Freak Out" was #91 on ''Rolling Stone''s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007. "Plaster Casts of Everything" was listed in Pitchfork Media's "Top 500 songs of the 2000s" at #248. The track "Leather Prowler" was used as the instrumental for "Leather Head" by Tyler, The Creator for his alternative hip-hop collective OFWGKTA's mixtape ''Radical''. Liars is an Australian-American experimental rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York, in 2000. Angus Andrew is the founding and only constant member of Liars, currently joined by multi-instrumentalist Cameron Deyell and drummer Laurence Pike. Aaron Hemphill played with the band from its inception until his amicable departure from the project in 2017. Julian Gross joined the band for their second album '' They Were Wrong, So We Drowned'' in 2004, and played with the band until his departure in 2014. Moodswinger
The Moodswinger is a twelve-string electric zither with an additional third bridge designed by Yuri Landman. The rod which functions as the third bridge divides the strings into two sections to cause an overtone multiphonic sound. One of the copies of the instrument is part of the collection of the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. History In March 2006 Landman was contacted by the noise band Liars to make an instrument for them. After 6 months he finished two copies of ''The Moodswinger'', an electric 12-string 3rd-bridge overtone koto, one for guitarist/drummer Aaron Hemphill and one for himself. Although it closely resembles an electric guitar, it is actually a zither, as it has neither frets nor a proper neck. The pickup and electronics are built into the neck instead of in the body like usual electric guitars. In 2008 the ''Moodswinger II'' was released as a serial product. Tyler Gregory Okonma (born March 6, 1991), known professionally as Tyler, the Creator, is an American rapper and record producer. He is one of the founding members of the music collective Odd Future.
