Liam Slater
Liam Slater (born 7 October 1993) is a British professional wrestler. He is currently working for New Generation Wrestling where he performs under his own name. He also performs for a number of other British professional wrestling promotions under the ring name Liam Lazarus. Professional wrestling career Various British Promotions (2012-) Liam started training at UK Wrestling, Wakefield in 2012 under MVK Valkabious. He went on to win the UKW Academy Championship soon after his debut until being defeated a year later by Rocky Future. Liam then began training under El Ligero, and (using the name Liam Lazarus) worked for a variety of independent UK promotions, including Great British Wrestling, Megaslam Wrestling, ICE Wrestling and Tidal Championship Wrestling. In professional wrestling slang, a job is a losing performance in a wrestling match. It is derived from the euphemism "doing one's job", which was employed to protect information related to kayfabe from being revealed. The term can be used a number of ways. When a wrestler is booked to lose a match, it is described as "a job". The act itself is described with the verb jobbing, while the act of booking (rather than being booked) to job is called jobbing out. To lose a match fairly (meaning without any kayfabe rules being broken) is to job cleanly. Wrestlers who routinely (or exclusively) lose matches are known as jobbers or "dummy wrestlers". A regular jobber skilled at enhancing the matches they lose, as opposed to a mediocre local rookie or part-timer, is called a carpenter.
