Liam O'Donovan (Gaelic Footballer)
Liam O'Donovan (born 1998) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Clonakilty and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. He usually lines out as a right wing-back. Playing career Clonakilty Community College O'Donovan first came to prominence as a Gaelic footballer with Clonakilty Community College. He played in every grade of Gaelic football before eventually joining the college's senior hurling team and lined out in several Corn Uí Mhuirí campaigns. University College Cork As a student at University College Cork, O'Donovan joined the senior football team during his second year. On 20 February 2019, he was an unused substitute when UCC defeated St Mary's University College by 0-16 to 1-09 to win the Sigerson Cup. Clonakilty
Clonakilty (; ), sometimes shortened to Clon, is a town in County Cork, Ireland. The town is located at the head of the tidal Clonakilty Bay. The rural hinterland is used mainly for dairy farming. The town's population as of 2016 was 4,592. 2016 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship
The 2016 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship was the Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA's premier inter-county gaelic football competition for under 18's. 32 teams took part. The winners receive the Tom Markham Cup. The 2015 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship, defending champions were Kerry GAA, Kerry who defeated Tipperary GAA, Tipperary in the 2015 final. The Fermanagh County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Coiste Chontae Fear Manach) or Fermanagh GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. James Loughrey
James Loughrey (born 10 September 1986) is a Gaelic footballer who plays as a right corner-back at senior level for the Cork county team. Born in Belfast, Loughrey was educated at Our Lady and St Patrick's College, Knock where he played basketball. He later joined the St Brigid's club, where he first played competitive Gaelic football. Loughrey won junior and intermediate championship medals with the club, before transferring to the Mallow club in 2013. He has also lined out with divisional side Avondhu. During his studies at Queen's University Belfast, Loughrey was a regular on the university's Gaelic football team. He won a Sigerson Cup medal as a member of the panel in 2007. Loughrey made his debut on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Antrim under-21 team. The 2019 McGrath Cup is a Gaelic football competition in the province of Munster, played by county teams. Four county teams competed in 2019, with Tipperary and Kerry sitting the competition out. 2018 All-Ireland Under-20 Football Championship
The 2018 Inter-County Under 20 Football Championship was the 55th edition of the competition, and the first since the competition was re-graded from Under 21 to Under 20. It was sponsored by Eirgrid, and known as the EirGrid GAA Football U20 All-Ireland Championship for sponsorship purposes. 31 counties played in the tournament (Kilkenny did not participate). The competition began with a preliminary round game in Ulster on 25 May 2018, and ended with the final on 5 August 2018. The Munster GAA Football Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county football competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The championship was contested as the Munster Under-21 Championship between 1962 and 2016 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2018. It is sponsored by EirGrid. The final, currently held in March, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a three-week period, and the results determine which team receives the Corn na Cásca. 2017 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship
The 2017 All-Ireland Under 21 Football Championship was an inter-county gaelic football competition between 31 of the 32 counties of Ireland (Kilkenny did not participate). Provincial championships were held in Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster with the winners progressing to the All-Ireland semi-finals. This was the final year of the Under 21 football championship. Beginning in 2018, it was replaced by an Under 20 championship following a vote at the GAA congress on 26 February 2016.
