Liam Cleere (born 1935) is an Irish retired hurler. At club level he played with Dicksboro and Bennettsbridge and was an All-Ireland Championship winner with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. Dicksboro GAA
Dicksboro is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Kilkenny City, Ireland. History Dicksboro GAA Club, founded in 1909. The club takes its name from Dicksboro townland, located next to Kilkenny Airport, the current ground is Palmerstown, to the west of the city. Dicksboro entered and won the junior championship of 1910. Dicksboro entered the senior championship in 1911. Dicksboro had no team from 1961 to 1969, until the club was reformed. Dicksboro officially opened the grounds in Palmerstown in June 1990. The 1962 Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship was the 68th staging of the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Kilkenny County Board. On 19 August 1962, Bennetsbridge won the championship after a 5–07 to 2–08 defeat of Lisdowney in the final. Bennettsbridge () is a village in County Kilkenny in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is situated on the River Nore south of Kilkenny city, in the centre of the county. Bennettsbridge is a census town, and has population of 745 as of the 2016 census.
